3:30. The wind an rain could help level the playing field. Plus I am also interested to see how the team responds to a new QB, if the rumors are true on a change.
-
I am hearing this could be accurate. Kind of shocked honestly. Unless your guy is my guy is my guy 😂

I would be surprised if it’s Tuttle. I would expect Williams or even the freshman. Time to see what we have on the bench.

For all spouting for new coach.

The new TV deal starts next summer: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/34417911/big-ten-completes-7-year-7-billion-media-rights-agreement-fox-cbs-nbc?platform=amp Money will start rolling in next year and USC and UCLA will be here soon thereafter. -

Thanks for the article I had not seen one outline what I was alluding too earlier. I knew his program was on quarters so figured he had to leave now to make it work for the exact reason stated in the article. I am not surprised at all by him staying, from what I have been told that’s the kind of teammate he is. -

Even before this official announcement I was wondering who would go in if CB got hurt. I think now it’s a definite it will be Williams. -

I’m not sure that’s correct but I am not 100% on this one. I think we could see him suited up for another team this year. It is all going to depend on calendars of when semesters start and finish. It would have to be a school on trimesters through spring and fall or quarters for the year. Also would depend on the program he gets into and that calendar for that program. For example, even at IU there are multiple semester options depending on program and type of student. Unless there is a rule I am unaware of where he can’t start on one team and then play for another. Also not sure what his eligibility looks like, to get a full year in he may have to limit his games to 4 this year. It’s a web of questions that hurts my brain. -

Maybe you should flip the question and ask yourself why the team would vote him as captain over the other QB. I don’t blame the kid for trying to get on the field. -

My understanding is this is not the case. -

https://specials.idsnews.com/indiana-volleyball-steve-aird-culture-fear/index.html Was just reading about this today. Not a good look. As someone that has season tickets and has watched the women's team long before Aird I find this believable. One player that went to my local high school and came to IU under Kruzan has seemed to relay some of things to others back home. Real question to me is does IU take any action out of this or just do damage control? -
This man accepted his actions and appears to be supporting his child. While he performed the act it isn’t easy being a parent of a kid while also going to college, and I know this first hand from my own experience. He could have taken the other route like others have chosen and instead seems to have embraced his duties as a father. Good on him, more should do the same. If anything this kid is going to give him focus unlike he ever had. Set me on the right path after mine was born.

In the off season I like thinking about how GoColts vs BtownQB would go. Forum battle of the ages. -

With the big ten media rights set to expire in 2023 I wonder how much of this also has to do with cash on hand and equity across all the sports. Articles have shown the BIG could get over $1billion a year for the tv rights and that NBC would like to swoop in and take over as the provider from Fox. So I wonder if this is more of a timing issue as the SEC network signed the more recent contract and they have money to spend. I would hope once the new contract is in place ( I would expect this year to prep for 2023) they would be able to implement this conference wide and for all sports.

I had known this was coming for a while as I have some contacts at Cook but I never took the time to ask if they knew who would be a part of this from IU Athletics. Next time I’ll ask 😂

2022 RB Declan McMahon commits to Indiana

I didn’t realize he was 2022, that’s interesting. -
I saw that pretty cool! I wonder if we could get him to do a swanton off the north end zone stands onto a ring? Or maybe Purdues mascot?

That is one job I would suck at. Voice of a chipmunk and a grizzly bear all merged into one. It’s not pretty on tape so I can only imagine the pain live over the PA at the Hall 😆

Non speeding related off season question: Do we know if Jeremy Gray is staying as the PA announcer next season of was that just a fill in role to finish out the year due to Chucks early retirement?
