  1. Is there any reason TJD should not touch the ball every single time they run offense in the second half?
  2. QUESTION: Is Tamar athletic? Coming to IU he seemed to be an athlete with size and ability to score. Not seeing it. Someone said he's a three and D guy. Seems spot on. He rarely wins off the dribble and scores. He's best spotting up for three.
  3. Back in the game is good. Blown opportunity bad.
  4. Blow by after blow by for layups. Worst D since PSU.
  5. Gotta stay close at the half. CMW may need a TO to settle things down because there is nobody coming off the bench to do it for him.
  6. Turnovers. About two turnovers from this getting out of hand.
  7. Has TJD touched the ball since the big went out?
  8. Too many wasted possessions and the D is two steps behind.
  9. Do we need to point out UM, like many in the B1G, can bring in 6'10 260 off the bench. IU has one 6'8 out today and have to turn to Geronimo.
  10. Stagnant. Not moving on an inbound. To this point they are not mentally in this game.
  11. Just not sure how JHS and Tamar don't understand good shot vs bad shot and time score.
  12. So far UM looks quicker at all but one position. Too many guys going right by the defender. Tamar comes in and immediately force a bad shot. Not sure why.
  13. TJD is incredible but with no jumper at all he has to work hard for everything.
  14. Michigan happy to push and shoot before the D is set. How do you not stop the ball? IU has seen this all season.
  15. Geronimo and Malik have to play D without fouling.
  16. A move to the NBA may be looking a lot more appealing to old Cal after today's loss.
  17. CMW doesn't like change. Malik starts, Kopp stays at his spot, and they go from there. Next man up.
  18. Great effort. The remaining schedule is no picnic. Talk about battle tested. Then they get the conf tourney to likely hit some of them again. Seeding should not be an issue for the big dance.
  19. Dickinson has the ability to pull TJD away from the basket, which hurts rebounding and takes away his defensive help inside. IU may be better off letting Race, Malik, and others cover Dickinson outside; however, if he takes them into the post he may foul out both by halftime. It's going to be interesting to see how CMW decides to cover him. Reality is, IU's script doesn't change. Smothering defense hopefully without fouling like crazy, rebounding, and not wasting possessions. The other side of the coin is, can Michigan stop TJD and if so, do they have to double to do it? If they double, who's hitting shots? By this point in the season there is nothing new. It's all execution. Biggest concern - TJD having to play big minutes with little rest. He's played 39 minutes in 5 of the last 6, and the last three straight. He is young, they get days between games, and there are endless timeouts during games, but it all adds up by season's end. If only they could trust the other guys to hold the game until he gets a couple minutes here and there. If only they had a 6'10 240 playing late into his second season available to step in even for a minute of game time.
  20. CMW really shortened the bench as far as who played how many minutes. I think that showed itself in fatigue and shot selection late. Going to need more from the bench even if it's just holding the lead playing D while Trayce and others get a rest. Glad they don't go again until Saturday. Another big plus tonight was how they handled the press. Much more confident. Able to attack at times. Getting better. If they figure it out and add X back into the mix, other team's may not be as willing to use it.
  21. FTs key. Nice to see IUs aggressive play and inside game pay off for a change. IU was tired late. Too many fadeaway shots overall. Too many bad shots in the second half. CMW has to discuss good shot vs bad shot. JHS too willing to settle for the floating sideways jumper early in the clock. Race - no idea what he's thinking on those threes. Really like Malik's play of late. Trey was solid. Kopp did his job. Nice win that really helps seeding.
  22. Too many fade away shots now. Sign of fatigue. If you want to win you go strong to the basket. This TO only helps IU.
  23. TJD has had to work hard on both ends. Little rest. They really need a good play to score out of this TO.
