  1. It was January. And, he was still in the hospital. The story itself mentions Covid and lung cancer. I think this is a pretty obvious example of the media spinning the narrative. I'm not diminishing the dangers of Covid at all. They both had it when they died. The one that concerns me right now is Hank Aaron. Would he have died if he had not received the vaccine. The fact that they have not disclosed his cause of death is a red flag that it might be related to the vaccine. Or, it could just be because he was 86.
  2. Clemson is ranked because 2 of their 4 losses have occurred since the polls come out.
  3. Louisville or Duke. What slimy program will you root for tonight?
  4. Interesting on how the timing of someone's death influences the headline. Dawn Wells, Mary Ann on 'Gilligan's Island,' dies of Covid-19 complications at 82 - CNN Larry King, legendary talk show host, dies - CNN
  5. Many people may have forgotten, or never realized, another main character in Star Wars was cut from the final production version.
  6. My 16 year old son is very similar. We obviously agree on IU, but other than that, we watch games for totally different reasons. He watches players and not teams as well. I used to watch everything, but the last several years, I've tended to stick to the Big Ten. Villanova is a team I like to watch if they are playing someone decent. And, I might watch 5-10 minutes of a Butler game if they are on. Otherwise, if it's not Big Ten, I'm just not that interested until tournament time.

  8. Best Bernie in chair GIF I've seen yet.
  9. At this point, I'm not too concerned with BTT seeding as long as we are between 5-8. I may change that after I see how we play against Michigan. If we can't stay with them, I would want to avoid the 4, 5, & 8 seeds. As a result, I will probably root for OSU because Wisconsin is Wisconsin.
  10. I'll not link it to keep us as far away from politics as possible. But, if you get the chance, google Chuck Schumer 'insurrection' He made a hilarious slip of the tongue this morning while addressing the Senate.
  11. Should we begin to worry about the season shutting down? https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/court-report-covid-19-rates-have-conference-commissioners-anxious-over-possible-mid-season-shutdown/
  12. Covid-19 antibody treatments are plentiful, but still sitting on the shelf - CNN Giving someone these treatments is not as simple as swallowing a pill. Because they are infectious, patients undergoing this treatment need to be kept separate from others. A nurse in full protective gear needs to administer the treatment for about an hour and then monitor the patient for another. "It does prevent hospitalizations, but the logistics of it have been daunting and of course staffing with nurses in our current national health crisis has its own struggle as well," McAuley said. Piedmont's program now treats about 250 Covid-19 patients a week, but around the country, health officials have said the treatments haven't been used nearly enough in the months they've been available.
  13. State reporting numbers different than the county provided. Indiana reports new high for Evansville COVID-19 deaths, health officials following up | Eyewitness News (WEHT/WTVW) (tristatehomepage.com) INDIANAPOLIS (WEHT) – The State of Indiana reported a single-day record for coronavirus deaths in Vanderburgh County with 23. The previous one-day high was 14. According to the state, 236 people have now died from COVID-19 in the Evansville area. County health department officials said they are checking with the state to get detailed information on why the latest report is so high. A spokesman said the state databases are showing different numbers.
  14. This Bama kids have confidence shooting. I give credit for that to the coach. Not out of the realm of possibility that he could mak a 5-7 percent difference in our percentage just from the coaching philosophy.
  15. I love that he tracks those things on that list.
  16. You can tell those kids from Bama have confidence and have bought into that system.
  17. He forced the last two. His previous shots were good looks.
  18. Bama starting to cool down a bit. But. that was a fun first 15 minutes to watch.
  19. Anyone not watching Alabama / LSU needs to flip over. Bama guard John Petty is 7-7 from 3 with 6 minutes left in first half.
  20. He could could definitely play at larger schools, and he has a work ethic that is in the 99th percentile. That said, I don't have a problem with him going to the MAC. I think he will be a star at that level, and would not be surprised at all to see him become a grad transfer to a Power 5 school down the road.

  22. Yes. They both have been on varsity since their freshmen years. They both came off the bench most of the season, and even played a little JV here and there. SC had a good, veteran team that year, so there was no reason to rush them. Trey missed the first 5-6 games of that season with a broken wrist. Trey averaged 7 ppg as a freshman and Kooper about 6.5. As sophomores, they were about the same as well. I think Trey was just short of 15 and Kooper just short of 14. This year Kooper is actually averaging more. 26.4 to Trey's 24.6. Trey built his lead last season 25.8 to Kooper's 17.3
