  1. Some encouraging information. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Mickleson with a 10 under 61 in his first round on the Champions Tour, https://www.cbssports.com/golf/news/phil-mickelson-shoots-61-in-pga-tour-champions-debut-at-charles-schwab-series-at-ozarks-national/
  3. Usain Bolt has Covid. https://www.espn.com/olympics/story/_/id/29735482/usain-bolt-tests-positive-coronavirus-self-isolating-home
  4. KFC is no longer 'Finger Lickin Good' https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/24/business/kfc-slogan-coronavirus-trnd/index.html
  5. I have to give my son credit for this one. Covid spelled backwards is Divoc (pronounced "dee-vock'). As in...."What divoc is going on?"
  6. Scottie Scheffler seems like the kind of guy you would want to sit by in a bar.
  7. According to Danica, it should have. With about 12-15 laps to go, before the accident, she commented on the possibility the race may end up in a green/white/checker finish. None of the other announcers corrected her.
  8. Throwing this out there for discussion. And, let me preface it by saying I'm fine with the mask requirement. They really do not bother me. And, I do think they help in the spread of the virus. That said, the Indiana mask requirement went into effect on 7/27. On 8/1, the 7 day moving average of cases in the state was 793. On today, 8/23 the 7 day moving average of cases in the state is 791. The hospital census in the state is actually up. 873 on 8/1. 894 today. So, the questions are: Is 4 weeks not long enough for a mask requirement to take hold? If not, how long should it take? Has there been an increase in tests? (The answer to this one is no. In fact, daily tests were slightly higher at the end of July and beginning of August). Does most of the spread take place at home among family or friends when people are not wearing masks? If so, what, if anything, can be done to curb that type of spread? Is touch a bigger spread factor than is thought? The focus recently seems to be on airborne. If the numbers still look like this in another 4 weeks, what can the governor do? I will say, the longer this goes without masks making a dent, the more I lean towards herd being the only way to get out of this without a vaccine. At this point, I think herd is playing as much of a factor than masks in the Northeast, where the numbers were so high early, but the best in the country now. Other states that have had mask requirements in place for quite some time simply have not seen the numbers drop like they have in the northeast. Anyone else have additional observations, or see it differently.
  9. Meh. Things would have been different if I played.
  10. Jean Van De Velde disagrees with you.
  11. Scottie Scheffler cards a 59 today. Par 71. 12 birdies. No bogies.
  12. Mickleson will miss the cut in the first playoff event and is too low in the standings to move on. Since he's turned 50, I guess next season he'll primarily play the Seniors Tour and we'll only see him at the Majors and other selected events. Have to think he'll have a lot of success on the Senior Tour.
  13. Golf is in a great place. Seems like every week there are 10 players going into Sunday that could win. That said. would a crowded leader board at -5 be better than a crowded board at -17? Seems like the courses can no longer keep a tournament from becoming a birdie-fest. For me. -12 should mean you had a great week and win. In today's golf, -12 often means you finish outside the top 10.
  14. The dude ended up with a birdie on the first 7 holes. After that, had one more birdie and a double bogie to finish -6.
  15. We know Russia has already rushed a vaccine. I think it's highly possible that China has done the same. And, I also believe that anything China develops has a higher probability of being effective than something developed in Russia. I would take that position even if the thing had not originated in China. But, since it did, they already have more information about what is going on than anyone else. Do I think they are alos lying about deaths? Yeah, I do. But, I also think there is a good chance they have a vaccine, at least in trial.
  16. Thought this my create some conversation. I think it could be an interesting one, so I'll try again.
  17. Sebastion Munoz (I've never heard of him) has birdied the first 6 holes out of the gate. Too early to put out a 59 watch?
  18. Did the test show she was actively infected, or was she showing anti-bodies indicating she had it at some point in the past?
  19. DJ minus 5 through 9. Started on the back 9. Eagled the Par 5 18th.
  20. Koepka out of Fed Ex playoffs. Knee. He was down pretty far in the standings, so his chances at making a run weren't good anyway. https://www.espn.com/golf/story/_/id/29696150/brooks-koepka-withdraws-northern-trust-knee-issue
  21. I bought a thousand shares of Enron back in the mid-90's. Not really paid attention to how it's doing, Now that you brought up your windfall, I think I'll check to see how my investment is doing.
  22. Okay. Maybe it's been there for a while and I just haven't noticed. But, I have this App on my Android that must have come through with a recent update. It's called 'Covid 19 Exposure Notifications'. Is this something the phone companies have done that is common knowledge and I'm just been living in a cave? It's currently showing turned off, and I'm assuming I want to leave it that way. I'm assuming I-Phones have something similar. Anyone know anything about this App? What's it's purpose, beyond the obvious tease in the title?
  23. The entire family should not have to be in quarantine unless the daughter herself has tested positive or is showing symptoms. Otherwise, it's a never ending contact tracing event. Edit: Yes, the daughter should quarantine, but mom, dad, and siblings only need to if she is positive or has symptoms.
  24. Not sure about the NFL, but the Big Ten just completed a Six month long punt.
