  1. The numbers in Europe right now are extremely interesting. Big spikes in France, Spain, and the UK. Meanwhile, Sweden has continued to stay level.
  2. 11 players shot 80 or worse today, including Jordan Spieth and Sergio Garcia.
  3. Good song. I really liked the video as well. It was visually interesting. Too many videos these days cop out on the visual and/or fail to tell a story.
  4. Not sure what thread to put this in. But, Russia has clamed ownership of Venus. https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/18/world/venus-russian-planet-scn-scli-intl/index.html
  5. I played a round while on vacation in Michigan this summer. Shot a 45 for 18 holes. And, a damn tough miniature golf course it was.
  6. The dude that dropped 45k on Phil to win the U.S. Open is likely having some buyer's remorse about now.
  7. 'Moronic stupidity' would be considered redundant. Paul George coming up short in the clutch is also an example of redundancy.
  8. I'll work on getting the team first, then the year. The Washington Football Team?
  9. This news will not help us get more fans into arenas/stadiums any time soon. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/fan-at-chiefs-texans-nfl-season-opener-tests-positive-for-coronavirus-10-quarantined/ar-BB199vv0?ocid=msedgntp
  10. Anything of particular interest for those of us unable to check in live?
  11. I can honestly say that I have never carded a single bogey at Winged Foot.
  12. Another factor is defenses key on what they expect. In today's NFL, teams are going to pass 95% or more of the time on 3rd and 4. Back in the 70's and 80's, they probably ran 70% of the time on 3rd and 4. The pass rush on certain down and distance was just not as intense.
  13. Bob Trumpy of the Bengals was considered a pass catching tight-end in the 70's. He caught more than 40 passes TWICE in his career. Casper had 40 or more catches five times, with a peak of 62.
  14. Okay, Since we're all IU fans (and, yes @Stlboiler23we know you really are), then we have to at least be familiar with some of John Mellencamp's music. So, I ask you HSN, what is your favorite Mellencamp song? Mine is:
  15. Mile and Droogh must have me on ignore.
  16. Quarterbacks were less likely to throw it away back then. I stand by my point that QBs have less time to throw downfield in today's game.
  17. In case you were not aware, if you leave your mask at home, a snake is not a suitable replacement. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/man-uses-snake-face-mask-133842545.html
  18. I think the sportsbook is safe in reinvesting the $45k before the tourney even starts.
  19. Fair enough, but if we ever have a 'Dating' thread, I hope you don't post something similar on it.
  20. I'm right there with you. Streaming music just isn't my thing.
  21. Quarterbacks rarely get time to look down the field any longer. Defensive pressure on the QB is much more significant than it was in the 1980s.
  22. We have a player that spins vinyl. But, it virtually never gets used. My CD collection is about 30X larger and much more diverse than my vinyl collection. Reality is I rarely listen to CDs any more either. Have satellite radio in both cars and playing music at home requires headphones so as to not disturb others. On those rare occasions where I'm home alone and in the mood, I'll crank something up.
  23. Before someone claims foul at the source, I want to point out that I've linked more articles from CNN about Corona than I have from Fox News. The gist of the story is that a Chinese virologist claims that the Chinese government intentionally released the virus. https://www.foxnews.com/media/chinese-virologist-government-intentionally-coronavirus Everyone is free to form their own opinion. But, in the spirit of fairness, let's not try to censor this angle of the story.
  24. A little bit of a change in direction on how this thread has gone. Story about Vinyl sales outpacing CD sales for the first half of the year. The first time that has happened since the 1980's. https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/13/tech/vinyl-records-cd-sales-riaa/index.html
