13th&Jackson Posted January 31, 2024 Report Posted January 31, 2024 Leal with a big shoutout to Ware for gutting out Quote
Hoosier4Life53 Posted January 31, 2024 Report Posted January 31, 2024 Co-MVPs for me - Leal (career high 13 pts), Ware - 23 Pts, 10 RBs and 3 Blks in his 1st game back, and he wasn’t even 100%. Quote
bluegrassIU Posted January 31, 2024 Report Posted January 31, 2024 Leal was great. But Ware was the best overall player on the court tonight 3 Quote
Naturalhoosier Posted January 31, 2024 Report Posted January 31, 2024 We won! I will allow this. Leal killed it tonight! Quote
5fouls Posted January 31, 2024 Report Posted January 31, 2024 I give a game ball to Leal, but i think clearly Ware was the MVP. Points, rebounds, altered shots, and toughing it out when he was clearly hurting. 2 Quote
bluegrassIU Posted January 31, 2024 Report Posted January 31, 2024 Clearly these 6 people are the brightest basketball minds on this site.... 3 Quote
MoyeCowbell Posted January 31, 2024 Report Posted January 31, 2024 Hey Dana Altman! Kel'el Ware ain't soft, bro. I loved his fire tonight... he played strong and with passion. Everything you'd want from a player. Very happy for Leal. He IS the walking embodiment of high IU IQ, and he shot with confidence. He can scratch his name on Ware's trophy. 2 Quote
DWB Posted January 31, 2024 Report Posted January 31, 2024 Great team win. Everybody contributed. But when we needed a lift... LEAL !!!! Never been happier to cast an MVP vote to this up and outstanding young man. Quote
Reacher Posted January 31, 2024 Author Report Posted January 31, 2024 My heart says Leal, my head, Ware. Of all our games this year, I think this one calls out for Co MVPs. Leal not only scored but had 7 rebounds. Off the bench. Ultimately, Wares influence on both Offense and defense won me over. Another double double. Quote

DWB Posted January 31, 2024 Report Posted January 31, 2024 FWIW, Leal got the game ball from Woody. 1 Quote
Parakeet Jones Posted January 31, 2024 Report Posted January 31, 2024 I like Leal as much as the rest of you, but if he had been getting regular minutes the better part of his career or even just this season and wasn’t a guy just starting to get his opportunity, this wouldn’t even be a close vote. It would be Ware by a wider margin. 4 Quote

NotIThatLives Posted January 31, 2024 Report Posted January 31, 2024 This board is funny. We need an atta boy vote after wins. Ware again totally dominates, while partially injured. Pumped with a huge atta boy to our hometown boy Leal. Perseverance, good attitude, and refusing to quit, while being a great teammate and student athlete. Deserves a game ball. Keep it up. Now if Galloway could just never stink like that again, that would be great. 1 Quote
