Purdue was up 18 at the half and lost by 4...to a team that had 3 scholarship guards available. If Archie Miller still can't beat that team this year, he should resign. Good lord, that was pitiful.

Anyone else remember Calipari saying, years ago, that he couldn't see himself coaching at UK for more than 10 seasons, because of how stressful it was? He's in year 12.

Good point, forgot about that Evansville game. Maybe they just shouldn't play at all. Too traumatizing for those poor freshmen.

These neutral site games don't seem to be going too well for UK. Maybe they should just play everybody at home. Clearly these empty NBA arenas are intimidating their young players and damaging their confidence.

This reminded me of a funny story involving a high school game I saw a few years ago. During the JV game, a coach kept nagging the officials that the other team's starting center wasn't leaving the lane. At first, he kept it simple, saying "still there...been awhile." Then, it became, "still in there...four, five, six..." until he finally lost it and screamed "HE'S CAMPING IN THERE!!!" The refs finally called it after he'd been in the paint for an entire possession that lasted about seven or eight passes. lol

In my best Willy Wonka voice: "WRONG, sir, WRONG." It does NOT suck when Wisconsin loses like that, ever.

At least you're not blaming the officials (yet) or someone else being injured...

If anyone wants some quality Friday night entertainment, Purdue is struggling at home with Valparaiso.

They've won 2 national titles since then, but who cares about those.

I wish people understood that a county going from level red to level orange doesn't mean "back to normal." I went to a basketball game tonight that was fairly well-attended, in a county that was red last week and is orange now. Probably 75% of the fans weren't wearing masks.

As usual, no shortage of excuses when Purdue is losing, regardless of sport.

It's funny how they all seem to gain an inch after joining Purdue's roster.

Honestly it's not looking good for my grandma, but she's in her late 90's and her quality of life has been suboptimal for the last few years, so when her time comes, it may be a blessing. I'm more concerned about my aunt, who has otherwise been in good health, but spent the last two days visiting my grandma in the hospital, feeding her, handling her dentures, and f*cking singing songs with her, basically everything you would NOT want to do around someone who has Covid, she did. In my lifetime, I've lost four relatives/family members in the last week of December. I have a feeling my grandma will be #5. This is why I don't look forward to the holidays anymore.

My grandma is in the hospital and just tested positive for Covid. My aunt has been in close contact with her for the last several days and can't come for Thanksgiving now. F*ck Covid.

Just realized the playoff format changed. I'm really tuned out anymore when it comes to the NFL.

We could potentially be discussing the possibility of a first round bye right now if the Colts hadn't lost to the Jags in week one. (the Jags haven't won a game since)

Those refs all need to be fined. No way all of those holding penalties on the Colts were legit. The Colts always seem to get trash officials when they play the Packers. During the Manning years, I remember a game in Green Bay where the Packers tried a surprise onside kick, it went out of bounds after 8 yards, and after a lengthy discussion, the refs inexplicably let them re-kick. The Colts were also flagged at least 15 times in that game, then didn't get flagged at all the following week. Anyway, that five penalties in five plays sequence was a reminder of why I don't watch a lot of NFL games anymore.

It's too bad the Mayans were wrong about Covid ending on November 3rd.

Love big special teams plays. For so many years, the Colts were dreadful on special teams and never got big plays anywhere.

I go to both Walmart and Kroger depending on what I need. I usually see 1 or 2 un-masked people at Kroger, if that. At Walmart it's more like 50-50. I wish more people at Walmart wore masks, if for no other reason than I don't need to see how many teeth they're missing.
