There is a reason for this. The company I work for hasn't required a mandate. Instead they have a cash Drawing to incentive vaccination. They know vaccine mandates will force people to quit. I could probably afford it but I like my job and would suck it up. But people are quitting in droves.

I think the economic impact of mandates is being underestimated. Alot of people in critical positions or with irreplaceable knowledge and experience are going to quit or retire early. Who will replace them? The ordeal with Southwest should be a wake up call.

I'm not anti-vaxx. Consider me hesitant with this particular vaccine. If I am forced into it based on my research and people I know that have had it, I would choose the one dose Phizer. I work for a contract Pharma company that produces both Moderna and J&J vaccines legally thats all I'm allowed to disclose. Anyway, Moderna released a batch for employees. Side effects got to the level they released a policy if you got vaccinated and had a reaction they had up to a week off paid. I'm my group, nobody is willing to get another. 2 people went to the ER and my manager had a severe reaction but recovered. I really think poor health and comorbities may play a part in vaccine reactions. The conversation needs to shift towards people living a healthier lifestyle. Me included. I try but can do better.

So when will there be vaccine mandates for welfare recipients? My tax dollars help pay for them to sit on their ass after all. People should ask those opposed to employer mandates what their reasons are to understand why. That one in particular sticks in my craw.

We drove the the Blue Ridge Parkway from beginning to end. Some parts were kind of redundant but alot of stuff to do along the way. Got to see Appomattox courthouse where General Lee surrendered which was pretty cool. Not sure about that waterfall but some scenes from Last of The Mohicans were filmed in the Pisgah National Forest. We even went back a couple years later and stayed at the Biltmore Estate for our honeymoon.

I honestly don't know what to think. I work at a place that produces the Moderna vaccine. They set aside enough doses to vaccinate all employees. I haven't taken it and don't plan to. I've heard that some ended up in the hospital after getting vaccinated, related to that or not I really don't know. What I do know is not one person in my group is willing to get another shot because they felt so badly after the first 2 doses. So good luck getting people to take the booster shots.

I completely agree and it was a much needed break. I think there is a large segment of this population that values money over time, especially the ones that profit the most off of the time they dont have to put in.

My previous employer would give the time off but didn't pay you for it. So it may depend on what state one is in. If you wanted paid you had to use vacation. As soon as I received my stimulus check last year I got "sick" and had 8 days off. I let Uncle Sam pay for my time off and saved all my vacation days.
