  1. I mean most of the board has been way off on what to expect out of him. He’s probably at worst out second best player right now. @NCHoosier32 has been one of the few consistently saying we should expect a lot from him and he’s spot on.
  2. - IU game - World Series - Thursday Night Football - Family (hoping the wife participates in the next one) - Naughty Nurses at Night Marathon - Other
  3. Eagles (-14) @ Texans Bills (-13) @ Jets Panthers @ Bengals (-7.5) Colts @ Patriots (-5.5) Chargers (-3) @ Falcons Packers (-3.5) @ Lions Raiders (-1.5) @ Jaguars Dolphins (-5) @ Bears Vikings (-3.5) @ Commanders Seahawks @ Cardinals (-2) Rams @ Bucs (-3) Titans @ Chiefs (-12.5) Ravens (-3) @ Saints
  4. I think I'd ask for like a second or something token to get him out of your hair, but if the Celts want to move on they're getting out of a bad situation for free.
  5. I think you can make a case he is the best QB in last years class - does that mean he is great? Not at this point, but he's definitely trending in the right direction. I'm not sure there is a huge difference where he is and where Hurts was this time a year ago.
  6. His QBR has been over 60 three of the past four games, and over 70 in two of those. That certainly is progress.
  7. Fields has been playing pretty good ball recently.
  8. Good for you, I guess. Based on what we know about the two incidents involving Xavier Johnson, we've got being out too late with no drugs, alcohol or anything "bad" involved, and driving way too fast while well under the legal BAC limit and being absolutely pleasant with the officer who pulled him over. That's much worse and more "entitled" than kids in the 70's and 80's were....
  9. Sure, but I don't think Woody likely gave much thought to kicking a kid off of the team for that. Nick Saban didn't even bench the kid who punched a UT female student. We wouldn't be able to recruit if we kicked guys off the team for that.
  10. Its that what you'd want someone to do to your kid, that you had trusted to be a leader and mentor to them?
  11. I do agree with you that it is INCREDIBLY ANNOYING and CHILDISH when a grown man trolls by making an inflammatory comment then just leaves.
  12. Didn't the office say that X was actually incredibly polite and gracious about the whole thing?
  13. Just a few posts up in this thread someone besides Shep basically said he should have been kicked off the team.
  14. It wouldn't be hard if he was good at the business side of things. Good organizations make those hard business decisions all the time.
  15. Reich. I guess my sarcasm doesn't come through over text very well.
  16. It will kill me a little if his last game was the first time we've thrown him a wheel route in I can't remember how long. He should get one of those a game with how hard he is for linebackers and safeties to cover.
  17. I don't think we have to use those teams same formula, we don't have a QB like them, but you said it yourself - we have the highest paid offensive line in the league but we are terrible at the most important spot on the line. I would stop short of very good on Ballard, but I don't think he is bad. I think he's great at drafting and evaluating talent, but not so much at managing decisions in terms of who to give contracts to, what free agents to go spend money on, etc. Basically... great talent evaluator, not great at the business side of it IMO.
  18. Makes a ton of sense for how we've used him. Dude hasn't had enough touches for 1.5 years now for what we pay him.
  19. Makes sense, he hasn't called a good play all year.
  20. I personally think we've got to move on from both Ballard and Reich. I've been generally supportive, but we've tied up a lot of money in positions that don't matter and those guys are now regressing too. I totally get that in some regards Ballard and Reich were dealt a bad hand with Luck retiring so suddenly and that would derail a lot of GM/HC combos, but at some point it's been several years and we've hardly made the playoffs and haven't won a division.
  21. So do you blame Frank or Ballard for our failings?
  22. So what are you trying to say about Xavier Johnson then?
  23. I agree it was dangerous and dumb, but it was a speeding ticket. And to think we’d kick a kid off of the team for that is “reckless and dumb” if I were going to pick your words. As a parent, I’d be VERY turned off by a coach doing that.
  24. The charge that stuck is reckless driving, which is a speeding ticket. I don’t really know what else to tell you guys, that’s what it is.
