  1. It's the Cavinder twins if anyone wants to google. Very interesting, highly recommend. Unrelated but make sure your wife isn't looking over your shoulder when you do it.
  2. Disagree. Someone else will emerge for him that wants an impact player to put them over the top. Wr are seeing it play out in the job market right now. Employers are paying top dollar to bring people in, which makes their current employees look around because they aren’t being treated as well, so they find someone else to pay closer to what they deserve. Companies that aren’t bringing in top talent because of some antiquated view about the employer/employee relationship are getting left behind by those that will value the employee.
  3. Yeah.... you bring in a guy for $400k/year, how do you expect studs already on your team to not want the same?
  4. I worked with Travis at one point, he was a super nice guy.
  5. That's significant. I think it makes it really hard for the Bucks to go small without Middleton and obviously their shooting will suffer (not that all of their bigs can't stroke it too).
  6. Agreed. The stats going back to KDs last year in GS all lean towards Giannis, too. He has him beat in points, rebounds, steals, blocks, eFG%... and has played almost 100 more games and won all the accolades you mentioned. The crazy thing is that's going back to when Giannis was 24 and KD was 30, so Giannis passing KD happened during KDs prime and before Giannis. I understand the injury to KD is a big factor there, but it happened and it's how things played out.
  7. If he can just get to like low to mid 30s from deep and around 70% from the line I don’t know how you’d stop him.
  8. It's honestly a bit early to compare Giannis to KD from a career standpoint, considering Giannis is just now entering his prime. Giannis could very well make that a laughable conversation over the next 6 years.
  9. The ECF matchups are weird to think about. I agree, whoever wins the Celts/Bucks should be the favorite, but I do think Philly could beat either of them because of Embiid, but I'm not sure Philly can beat the Heat because of what Jimmy Butler is going to do to James Harden.
  10. Durant was incredible in that series, but Giannis was too. I think Durant was like 35/10 and Giannis was 32/13. Luka led the playoffs in PPG last year. Booker was incredible. So yeah, KD was great and you could maybe make a case that in the playoffs he was the best player (IMO I would never say the best player in the playoffs was a guy that got eliminated in the 2nd round, but to each their own) but all those guys had better overall seasons than him last year IMO when you think about the fact that he missed half the games, didn’t get any MVP votes, etc.
  11. Disruption in any industry is met with this type of reaction. Some will find out how to work it to their advantage, some won't.
  12. Yeah I get that, he wasn't the only one though. Did you see what Giannis did in the Finals after his team knocked out Durant?
  13. Hey now... that's worth at least two of @5fouls ex wive's, make this a fair bet.
  14. I’m pretty sure he was talking about the IU Student Athlete Bill of Rights, which guarantees an academic scholarship to a player who no longer received an athletic one. That said, the NCAA prohibits this in the case of pulling an athletic scholarship and replacing it with an academic scholarship. NIL money doesn’t come from a school, so that’s of course a potential work around but I am of the mind that it’s a bit far fetched that someone in Leal’s position would ever be a candidate for this. It’s an unfair ask from an end of the bench guy IMO.
  15. 2021 as in last season? He missed half the season and didn't get a single MVP vote; I'm sure you could make an argument, but I struggle to see how one would rise to the level of "good".
  16. This is the thing with DD - even if he isn't an offensive upgrade over our wings last year, think how many games we lost late because the other team had a guy they could go to for buckets that we couldn't stop.
  17. I think this is a really good take, and short of him winning at least one but maybe two titles as the best player on his team between now and the end of his career I don't see how he gets into that top 10 discussion.
  18. I would actually laugh if he was ruled ineligible because there are receipts of him negotiating this prior to committing and it being contingent upon committing.
  19. Curious on some of ya'lls thoughts on KD's legacy if he never wins a title without the Dubs?
  20. I think he'll win another Major at some point.
  21. Ha he definitely got his steps in on the sideline. In all seriousness, I love looking at Crean's twitter now that he is tweeting again. It's like a love fest for his former players - I wish every college and high school coach invested in their players the way Tom Crean does.
  22. There is an immeasurable amount of difference in the mental fortitude of those two people.
  23. He got better towards the end of his tenure with his wardrobe. I always laughed at Archie's massive leap in style from Year 1 onward - he had the old baggy suits that looked 10 years old in year 1 then after that he always had nice, tailored clothes. Woody rocks that old man, portly cut. #respect.
