Is Kansas anymore featured or on TV than us? I really don't think so.

To your point, I think we offer a bit of everything, sans being close to home. He's seemingly going to get a lot of money anywhere he goes of the four because of Adidas, not sure there is any big lean there.

He's going to get 30+ minutes per game anywhere except for maybe Kansas. His shots would likely be a little lower at IU and especially Kansas than they would at SJU or UL, but I don't know that his importance would. KD averages a few less shots per game when he is on a title contender as opposed to OKC or Brooklyn, but I don't think he was more important on those two teams.

Kansas is the safest bet to win big, but IU with him is a pretty dang good bet on that too.

The x-factor is going to be the relationships anywhere, but we probably are the best total package when you isolate out that (none of us can really know much about the relationships at all four schools).

Actually I think he gets just as many minutes at Kansas because they are selling him on Grady Dicks minutes. He was a hybrid type too. This one is going to be difficult to see. I think they are family type people and I think IU featured that aspect from the sound of it.

I'll second that.  I have a mother-in-law with a spine made of glass.  It's too late in life to do much for her, so the emphasis is comfort and quality of life.  Here's hoping you and your wife have many quality years in front of you.

Now, to get back on topic, the question you asked about earlier...

Clickbait. They cleared one before his visit too. Means they now have 2 spots.

thanks Scott...just got home about 1:30. Hoping she can rest this weekend.

Hopefully the surgery gives her better quality of life. Back or any neurological surgery isn’t fun. Wife had her second craniotomy in September. I knew she was better when she told me she didn’t need me hanging around bothering her. Told me to stay at my sisters but “ bring me cheesy eggs in the morning”.

A lot of people in KY who have seen him play think he’s better than Shepperd. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve seen him play. Eddyville isn’t far. People in KY haven’t exactly seen many great high school games. Indiana side is a completely different world. I watch a lot of high school ball. London, Lexington and Louisville areas are an exception. The rest has mites. Lots of 6’ or under post players. I was shocked that I was the 2nd tallest guy in my workplace out of 400 people. I’m 6’2”.

Correct, but they already took Sheppard in 23 and UK wasn't taking both. Perry is the better player imo. Hulls is also one of the staff members pushing for Perry too fwiw.

I wouldn’t say perry is better. They aren’t recruiting over Sheppard but they would perry. Perry is a conditional offer by many.

Can either defend a 6'4-6'5 wing with some size and athleticism? That's likely the biggest worry pairing them in the backcourt together.

No they really can’t. Cupps is a little quicker. I don’t see Perry being a fit. If woody wants positionless basketball then neither one is that type. Looked to me like the trend is 6’3- 6’9” athletes who can defend at least 3 spots. Those teams could play multiple ways.

Alabama has always been a football school. They've never been dominant in basketball. They're very good at basketball right now because they have a coach that knows what he is doing. I'm not so sure what is so hard to understand about that?

IU used to be a juggernaut in basketball because they had a coach and staff that knew what the hell they were doing. Three out of the last four coaches after Knight (Davis, Crean, Archie) didn't know what the hell they were doing and you saw the results.

I'm not ready to put Woodson in the same conversation because the jury is still out, but if he continues to strike out on the recruiting front he's going to join that crew rather shortly.

Nate Oats is good not very good.  2 sweet 16s with that talent. Let’s not get carried away.

Can't believe anyone could think that was legitimate. It's an unverified account with the name "IU Fan" whose source is a "local college coach." lmao

I'm starting to think there was no meeting at all. Like I said before, damage control on Purdue's part to get their online fans to settle down.

You won’t see Purdue making any statement. It would acknowledge that there is a problem. Saying nothing is pretty standard. Something happened and it wasn’t in Purdues best interest. I’m not saying he doesn’t end up at Purdue.

  9. If any of the rumors are true this isn’t ending well. You can’t make a kid do something he doesn’t want to do. He might do it but he’s not going to do it well. Look at TJD. His camp really wanted him at Michigan state. He ended up at IU. Why? Because that’s what he wanted. I shudder thinking about him under Izzo. Anyway, this is not over.

NBA and NFL have salary caps..  That's not illegal.

This is a 1099 thing. You can’t cap what you have nothing to do with. They can get as many outside contracts as they want. The University or NCAA can’t control how much an individual makes. That’s the ruling. NFL and NBA is a collective bargaining unit. NIL is not.

edit: didn’t see the posts after. Sorry.

my kid(4) changes his mind about what he wants for breakfast every 2 minutes.  I can't imagine how many times a high schooler, top 25 kid "changes" or has "thoughts" about changing schools and discusses it with a few individuals and word makes it out on the street.

This is more than that. This probably isn’t over.

I mean his family has been through the recruiting process much more so than most recruits and probably can smell the  BS from a mile away. My guess is some other recruits at the USA camp got in his ear and peer pressure factored in. But when he got home he discussed it with his parents and cooler heads prevailed so to speak. But that’s just my opinion lol.

I also heard he wants to explore playing with his AAU teammates. That makes more sense than a bunch of random guys. I’d say if he’s doubting at all they need to go through the process not force him.
