That's been my biggest complaint. When numbers have a variance of almost 200% something has to be corrected....and one thing I've noticed in recent weeks is more and more people including some noteable online guys have been hammering the NET rankings and using Sparty and Wisconsin as examples. Full disclosure though. I've hated numbers since my Canes were eliminated from the BCS title game in 2000 in favor of Florida St who were beaten by Miami earlier that year.

Rick Barnes. 9 years on the job. 2 missed tourneys...likely a 3rd during Covid year. 2 S16's, 2 round of 32, and 1 loss in first round. Likely a 2 seed this year but haven't playing well at all and MIss St is throttling them. Not necessarily a strong record in March historically and showing up once again.

Yep...has more wins in tourney compared to a few other schools Coaches...and agree all day on TSJ. He was all Michigan.

And if they decide to go edge...they should trade back. Get more picks and still get the edge guy later. Either way I'll be thanking the Carolina Panthers forever for making one of the dumbest trades of all time....and it's still paying off this year and next.

So this morning with the coffee I do my usual sites and stumbled across the headline on FoxSports.Com that Ohio St was inching closer to NCAA tourney bid. Hey Numnuts....quick reminder we swept Ohio St this year....I know I know on the court results don't matter.

1 of 2 directions we could go. Keep Fields draft MHJ and pair him with Moore, Allen, Kmet, Everett, Swift and Herbert....or draft Caleb and instead of MHJ we get Odunze at 9. I'm not the most knowledgeable NBA guy so take my thoughts at 50/50 at best....but we talked about this like 3 weeks ago. Losing to bad teams the way they have is just frustrating.

Pacers have 13 losses to teams currently in the lottery. Tightening things up vs the worst teams just by half would have them at a 2 seed.

If Palm still has them on the bubble that means the smart folks have them either out or play in games. If the lose to Minny they will have a long few days. Personally I don't think they belong. 18-14 and sub .500 conference record....I don't care what the NET says that's not a tourney profile.

Yep...my one diehard Vols fan is just besides himself with what they've done. Literally doing dumb stuff and chasing those mistakes with bigger ones.

Update. Kansas should be a 7 seed at best....maybe even 8.

I cheer for the Colts 2nd but to me this is a really good move. With AR playing style you have to have insurance and to have a proven SB winning vet in the film room around to mentor,etc....just a great signing.

I'm assuming the Colts have to be the only team in the league where their QB (albeit backup) is older than their head coach?

I wish there was a what if scenario with rankings based up others winning or losing that we could see. Long way to go but I have to believe if we can go on a run....besides Penn St, beating Nebraska and Illinois would give us 2 more Quad 1 wins I think. We would have 5 along with Illinois but my biggest complaint would be Sparty has only 3. I just can't believe if we had 5 to their 3 and were on a 7 game winning streak that doesn't get us in the final 4 in conversation.

With Saban going on his soapbox yesterday crying about NIL stuff it got me thinking. Besides the potential revenue sharing ideas that have been floated....and maybe revenue sharing if the teams make the tourney,etc....what if the NCAA went the opposite to try and corral the portal. Offer some figure where if a kid stays years with same team, graduates they are eligible for some bonus? Have it jointly paid by school collectives and the billions the NCAA has in their warchest. Now the amount has to be substantial enough to make them stay and maybe that would be a deterrent from kids job hopping.

Is that the same AAU Coach that was pushing Queen to IU along with Mom all along? Or was that his high school Coach?

For any of the insiders that know the Queen recruitment...any chance he might rethink things? 5 transfers, more leaving....and from what Ant is saying no one is sticking around.

I don't have the exact numbers of guaranteed but 2 years and $50M for Hunter is ludicrous. Bears were in on him but no thanks at that price....basically $2M a sack. Both the Bears and Colts can find others from the Edge at 20% of the cost at 70% of the production. Makes good financial sense.
