  1. Pacers blow 12 point lead in 4th. From the 11 minute mark on they went 3-12 for 9 points from field. Minus one call when Bojan hit the deck (big missed call) the Pacers looked frozen in the final 2-3 minutes. Almost like they weren't prepared for stage. Reinforces my opinion. Besides a healthy Victor this team needs at least 1 more borderline All Star. Have to almost have 3 All Star candidates in the NBA to make it to finals.
  2. Toronto moves to 2-14 in game 1's.
  3. I don't think Buss would do it but if I were running the Lakers. With Wade retiring....I call Pat Riley and see if it's time to make up. It's literally impossible to have the Lakers be this bad for so long. Almost like the Knicks. Lebron is about to find out how much love Laker fans have for Magic. Lebron is starting to look foolish until he starts delivering players.
  4. Just in case people are scrambling for TBS coverage for Saturday games. Sling, DirectvNow, Hulu all have free trials. I've used Sling and Hulu up....going to sign up for free 7 day trial on Directvnow to get the games over the weekend.
  5. This would be awesome and I am envious. Back when I had cable (3 years ago now) with ATT package in 3 rooms, DVR, HD,etc.....plus high speed internet I was clipping $200+ per month easy. Now I just have high speed internet and Netflix. $70 per month. Everything else I need sports wise I can usually figure out a way to get for free....just need about 5 email addresses.
  6. 4 more games during this brutal stretch. Only .5 game up on Celtics for 4/5 line. After that 4 we have 6 winnable games. We'll see if they can hold on to make up the ground in last 6.
  7. I applaud you do it yourself folks. My grandfather was one of the first electrical engineers to work on video phone's back in the 60's with Westinghouse (now ATT). My Dad (even though he was a CPA) can rebuild any sort of car in the world. What of those skills did they pass down to me? I know how to drive a car every 4k miles and get the oil changed and I can unplug an outlet with the best of them. Otherwise I'm screwed in that world. I've tried and tried (very frugal) but ends up costing me more time to fix and repair what I did. So I did the next best thing. Found a handyman who charges cheap and takes cash for discounts. Good luck with projects!
  8. Really, really impressive comeback win for a team that needed one. Holding on to 3rd seed. Off to Denver.
  9. Pacers with 3 game lead on Celtics to host 1st round of playoffs. Start of a pretty brutal 11 game stretch that takes us almost to end of March. 3rd to last game of year could decide who hosts. 42-23 while down Vic (and others). Pretty impressive still.
  10. Absolutely.....but plenty on this board implied he was an extra on the day of the trade. Only a few of us dug in deep and said the Pacers did very, very well the day of that trade. Scott-Regarding 5th best record. I agree....we are in great shape but that doesn't mean we should have taken OG over Leaf.
  11. Yep. One game can change plenty. We know it very well. Imagine if Crean figured out Cuse zone. He'd probably still be our coach. Haha
  12. Understand. Just saying we don't even sniff the guys 60 miles to the South. Those 3 guys appear to be pros for a long time.
  13. Yep. Another really positive is he took his benching like a man and followed it up with 23 and 12. Obviously biased but to me it's insane the Pacers didn't draft Bryant or Yogi in 2nd round....or at the very least give them a look. I'm still ticked we let OG go to Toronto and took Leaf. All 3 have proven and are proving plenty of GM's don't know what their looking for in NBA players.
  14. Thanks for posting. It would be pretty naive to think there aren't dirty refs out there right now we just don't know it yet. The Donaghy's of the world have made me unfortunately skeptical about officials when I see one or two who consistently are making bad calls or controversial calls. I should start tracking the spreads.
  15. When Victor went down I believe our chances to represent East went with it. I will say though after losing 4 straight the Pacers have found their footing and won 5 in a row. Bad competition but still pretty solid. No clue on the East right now. If I were betting I'd say Bucks. Gulp.
  16. I know criticism comes with the territory and no perfect way to handle a player demanding a trade. With that said are the Pelicans really going to roll AD out there the rest of the season (20-25 minutes per game) and risk an injury? Having the fans boo him at home the rest of the year like they did last night? Seems to me there had to be a better way to handle.
  17. Reason 398,432 why I don't gamble. Long road trip. Trade deadline gone. Team in disarray. If I was a gambler I would take Boston all day long.
  18. Yes they do. I eat a ton of cauliflower. In frozen food section they actually have cauliflower rice, cauliflower tator tots,etc....all substitutes for those of us who want to reduce carbs.
  19. Just saw this. Was weird the other night Rondo was sitting so far from his teammates on the bench and now so happy for him? Going to be a bumpy ride for LA this year. Lebron basically wanted to trade his entire team and now he has another 3 months with them.
  20. Just got back. Awesome time. 46 point win worst of Lebron's career and judging by their effort and bench....Lakers just waiting for trade deadline. Looked like they could care less.
  21. Kind of what I was thinking. Glad I'm not a DC fan. Dealing with Snyder year round, now this with Wizards....and losing Bryce Harper. Not a good year at all. Or decades for that matter.
  22. I think I'm getting this story right. John Wall has been recovering from bone spurs and he apparently slipped in his home and ruptured his Achilles. Out for at least a full year. Supermax starts on contract I believe next year....owed roughly $165M guaranteed over next 4 years.
  23. Yogi with a smooth 19 points in 17 minutes of action vs Spurs last night. Perfect 7-7 from field with 4-4 from 3. Nice to see one of the best pure PG's this state has had do so well when given a chance. Plenty of similarities between he and Carsen Edwards. One thing we know as of today is that Yogi is having success in NBA.
  24. Looks like a 4 team race between Cleveland, Chicago, Phoenix, and New York for worst team in NBA with more than likely draft rights to Zion. Unless the Lakers offer up something unreal (like 3-4 first round picks which won't be higher than what 18-20 range?) I'm waiting to see which of the franchises I mentioned want to pony up the most 1st round picks. Davis is from Chicago so maybe they could package a ton of picks? We all know Davis wants LA but if I'm Pelicans I'm holding out.
  25. Will be interesting to follow the fallout. Did he do Pelicans a favor by making his intentions clear well before trade deadline, draft,etc....so Pelicans have best chance to maximize what they get back? Or will he be viewed like Paul George who just 6 days before draft leaked his intentions via media? My guess is while Pelicans fans might be ticked they might realize this gives their GM the longest time to max value for his services. Tough one.
