....seems like teams like Northwestern, Penn State, Iowa and Wisconsin always has rosters like that......

We should be able to have the same foundational type players and then add the elevation from top flight talent, from Indiana or across the nation.  Even with the dumpster fire of a program we have been for the last 25 years.  Look at the amount of talent we have still accumulated.  We just haven't had a coach who can put it all together.  Maybe Coach Woodson can do that starting next year, maybe he can't.

I want an experienced point guard over a 4 star freshman.  I'd take a John Wall talent though.

I want a good roster construction. Which includes 4 year kids and experienced vets.  Might get that from the portal, might also have that from HS recruiting.  Balance is needed.

Oh and Calipari.   What a loser for not landing a single recruit at the Indiana high school 4 a championship last year.  Seriously.

I wouldn't throw recruiting around when it comes to the '24 class for IU and Kentucky.  They have a bit more in hand than we do.

I know this is the NBA thread, but how about the Indiana Fever picking Caitlin Clark with the #1 pick??

    Ticket sales will be crazy....

When is the draft and has CC already said she isn't coming back for SS year.

Yep...and contrary to some injuries do have impacts. Just wish we would have had a full clip these last couple of seasons including Jakai. You see it every year in programs some kid comes out of nowhere just because finally having a clean bill of health.

On the flip side, sometimes injuries bring out the best of someone you were not expecting or finding a diamond in the rough.  I do not doubt for a minute that JHS wouldn't haver been nearly as dynamic as the 2 as he was as the 1 and being forced to grow up in the offense without any help.  This is my uneducated, no basketball knowing opinion.  my 2 cents aren't worth 2 cents.  Most like Canadian pennies

Dolson could think Woodson is under contract next year so why need to say he will be back next.

AD Dolson has to be getting a lot of email and mail around the program.  He has to hear it in the News and on Social media.  The longer AD Dolson stay silent, the more rumor and conjecture is going to fly around.  So i think he needs to address what is going on.  Even its to say.  Coach Woodson is the IU basketball coach and that isn't going to change until you hear it from this office.  And you're not hearing it from this office!

Just my thoughts.  He doesn't even have to have a press conference.  Just release a statement and act like its a non starter.

The coaches were saying to foul, they just didn't mean Malik.

It was smart to use the fouls we had, Malik just has to not be stupid and realize he has four fouls.

I mean he had to know he had 4 fouls when he decided to foul a guy the bench was saying to foul.  It just drives me crazy that every foul he gets feels like a personal attack to him.  He is flabbergasted. Astounded even.  Amazed and surprised at the same time.  In total shock.  Taken aback even.  Dumbfounded, rendered speechless, stunned and even staggered by the shear audacity of the call against him.  i think X teaches a class at IU on how to whine, complain and cry when a foul is called.

Good points, and if it’s the same next season, I’ll be at the front of the line saying it’s time for a change.

I appreciate you holding your ground on what you believe, but can i ask why 3 years of the same thing is any different than 4 years of the same thing, even if we win more games next year with the same scheme?  Just curious.  I honestly have zero opinion anymore on IU basketball.  Just don't care enough to invest my energy in one way or the other.  But i am always interested in why people go against the stream of the majority.  Again, not saying you're wrong or anything.  Just interested

I’m to the point where I just want IU to win, don’t care who the answer is. But I’m not okay with what went on when Sampson was here. Wonder if Houston’s players are doing the same things.

You never hear anything else about him ever since OK and then IU.  Maybe he learned from the experience and made some changes.  Does anyone know what the grad rate or gpa is for Huston over his tenure?

If he would have put that down, I don’t care what anyone says, he’s automatically in the pantheon with MJ, Dominique, Carter, LaVine, Gordon, etc

That team was so easy to love, enjoyable to watch and had so much personality.  I get it, they had a couple NBA level players on there and a couple other who were over seas professionals.  But they were easy to root for. and VO is in my top 5 all time players
