BYU 12th in NET rankings.
I think we can all agree the NET is broke. Also MSU played like a tournament team today. not sure we would have put up the same fight against Miss State U

MR will need to grow in some areas of areas this offseason.
Rebounding
Staying on the Court (fouls)
Court Vision - Seeing those Dbl/triple teams and learn how to take advantage of that.
Free throw shooting.Glad he is back, although he fits the through the post style offense so it won't force coach to change his ways as much now that he can rely on MR on the block.

Already the 6th highest paid coach at $5.1M. That’s a lot of money in Waco, TX.
Offer most coaches 15mil a year for 5 years guaranteed and most would take it i assume. Some wouldn't, they love where they are, have made enough money over the years or just don't care. But 75 over 5 years guaranteed would be hard to pass up for any coach.

I don’t think Drew will ever leave Baylor. The culture is ideal for him. Well paid. New arena. Been there 22 years and can win big there. Why leave? Especially for a disaster like Louisville
It would have to be gross money. Like 3x what he is making guaranteed

Maybe I am putting too much faith in the staff which is fair. Hoping increased NIL would help. I mean @Indykev said he was not there the first day they got to work.
I think money goes only so far on the portal and even to hiring a coach at IU now. No big name kid or coach wants to come here. It's just facts now

That might have been one of the most brutal games I've watched. I don't know the exact time but I'm pretty sure Virginia didn't score for at least 45 real time minutes.
Tony Bennett who made the tourney 1 time in his first 4 years on the job....now has 5 first round exits of the tourney of the 10 he's made.
I don't want to hear about his coaching genius anymore from national media or even a few of the local experts. He's Trent Dilfer. Or Joe Flacco. 1 season doesn't make Hall of Fame.
they had 2 seasons to be honest though. Lost to a 16 as a #1 seed (good year) and then won a national title the next year. Still don't think he is HOF though. Just saying, 2 years lol

Why have an AD, then?
The AD should have final say on who is hired or fired within their department.

Wow I feel so bad for him and all the players who care! Want the best for each of them as individuals and for the team as a whole! Praying for clarity.
I would say he is 50/50 on staying.

Personally, I’d hate to see Cupps leave. He’ll end up being a very good 4 yr player.
I don't know if cupps leave. He was never going to play NBA ball. But making 2mil a year at IU for 4 years sets him up pretty well for the rest of his life.

Your bias is showing.
I am surprised by the bias against Purdue being found on this board. We should dig deeper into why.

Although through most of the year i really didn't care at all if we won or lost and didn't watch the last half of the seasons games, last night just hurt. Watching Nebraska's overall play was something beautiful. Watching IU slowly give up and accept defeat was hurtful. Watching our Coach get ejected in a game where i truly thought we were getting the benefit of the whistles/non-whistles and then watching him just turn and walk away. No comments to the staff, the team or the fans. Just walked away. As @Maedhros said, its always a sad thing when the season is over. Much more so when i don't feel we'll be much better next year.
There is always next year. Or the year after. Or the year after that.
Go Hoosiers. Enjoy the Tournament, your spring and Summer. Lets hope next fall starts something new and good.

Of all the times and games and refereeing, I can't believe THIS is the game he gets tossed in. Like seriously.
Yeah we got alot of calls our way and a bunch of no calls

It’s being reported already that IU will decline. The season is over.
Where is being reported?

The final score won't show a 30 point loss. But we lost this game but 30 to Nebraska on a neutral court. And they had more fans there than IU.
