isn't that what IU fans ultimately mean though? I mean look at Purdue. Yes, Any IU fan would take either of those currently, but when the wins start coming, pretty good during the regular season with no hardware, speaking of UK,(Purdue at least has B1G ships) isn't good enough being bounced week 1 of the tourney, again speaking of UK.

Honestly i don't disagree with you.  My problem with coach Woodson doesn't have as much to do with the end results, although i want more win and better seeds in the tourney.  My biggest issue is lack of direction for this program or a direction i don't enjoy.  Its not fun to watch our team play, even when we win, its ugly basketball.  We're trending the wrong way in recruiting and portal usage.  I want a charismatic open dialog coach who wants to engage with the media and the fans.  I want to be excited for the season, not just the offseason.  I know that wins and titles plays into that, but I have also adulted long enough to know when something is trending the wrong way and that throwing money at bad framework won't work long term.  I am resigned to this style of play for the next couple years until he retires (they will never fire him).  Hopefully then we get a younger more modern style of play from  our next coach.

Oh I know, that's the hysterical part. They are first-time watchers of the girl's game, so they had to deal with CC and the realization it wasn't a neutral court. Funny stuff from the Hatfields and McCoys.

I will say--- I was glad to beat WVU's ass last year in the baseball regional. That was enjoyable.

lol, yeah if you have never experienced the CC show, i can see where they might be a little upset lol

he hasn't done anything the last 10 years with the amount of talent he has gathered. He wouldn't last here with the last 4 years he has had. Is that a coincidence now that the playing field has somewhat leveled out?

again not defending him, but look at his results. he did pretty well just not tourney good the last 4 years.

It's not even just a women's basketball thing. It's an NCAA thing, outside of MBB. Even men's football is going to have a flavor of this in the post-season, as the 12-team format comes into play this year.

Baseball, softball, and soccer (maybe there are more?) all host if they are deemed one of the top seeds. Hell softball and baseball it's the first two weekends you get to host lol

Agreed but WBB has always hosted like this as does the NIT tourney.  Not sure how they didn't know or understand how it works.

I'm just used to it watching her.

Ole Mike DeCourcy was just appauled a couple of months ago that the average fan was annoyed by CC, regardless of her clear talent.

But the WVU fans are like, "and while we're here why are teams playing at home?"

    They're all so confused.

Have they not been in the Women's NCAA tourney before.  Its not like anything has changed.  Also, CC is great at drawing fouls from refs.  She should get an award for her acting sometimes.

  6. While i don't like Coach Calipari, has there ever been an indication that Kentucky cheats to get basketball players.  They have been a good to great basketball program for longer than i can remember and under multiple coaches.

I mean yeah the last couple years haven't been great, but only finished lower than 3rd twice in the conference and had a pretty good run earlier in his career.  From where IU is sitting, i wouldn't throw stones at glass houses.

Not saying i want him as our coach but i would take these results over the next 15 years

Fans are just out of control. This is why social media is evil.

Just like guns don't kill people, forks don't make people fat, and cars don't get drunk and kills people on the road.  Social media is no more evil or responsible for people being horrible.  30 years ago it wouldn't have been social media but letters and email threats.  People suck.  They continue to find more and creative ways to suck.   And just like everything else, its the extreme outliers that do most of the horrible things in life.

Danny Sprinkle to Washington. I knew we could get an actual Montana St connection on here now. From Montana St to Washington inside of 2 years.

Amazing Crean doesn't get a call from a few of these places.

No sure the stink of UG is off him yet.  He isn't a bad coach.  Just didnt' do well there

I don’t believe it. If they don’t win it all I could easily see him coming back for more guaranteed NIL money. He will never make as much in the nba on two way contracts as what he can make at Purdue.

I don't think he makes much as a Canadian, they have to get creative and i believe its not alot or near what it could be.

In my mind, it is just that it all supposedly started out as compensation for name, image and likeness. What it has turned into is being forced to overpay for any kid that has a pulse.

I can get fully behind a kid finally being able to get paid for doing a commercial for a local business, being able to get paid for doing their own basketball camp, or doing public appearances at functions on behalf of the university, but what we have now goes way beyond that. I think it is really out of control.

Yup, all they did was move the under the table cash transactions to out in the open and tax on it.

Not if we land a couple of elite shooting guards. Omoruyi’s job would be rim protecting and rebounding. Any scoring would be a bonus.

SAME OFFENSE.  Doesn't work in the NBA, isn't going to work in the NCAA.  Stand round offensive sharp shooters might help some but its not a modern offense.  It just doesn't lend itself to big time winning.  Can we win some games sure.  But we're going to get ran out of gyms by good team with modern offensive schemes.  We have seen it for 3 years.

Even though Ware had a slightly higher average, Malik was probably our best option when we really needed bucket, so why throw it out to a guard who was likely going to miss. If we get a couple of elite guards who are knock down shooters, then I think he’ll be a willing passer when he’s double teamed. And if they’re really good, he won’t be doubled team as often.

I dont' know if i agree with they if we had shooters.  I feel like he gets singularly focused at times and he is going to shoot no matter what.  He has to have better vision.  If he is doubled, he has to kick it out. It doesn't matter if you don't trust them.  You can't keep driving into a dbl/triple every time.  Its basically the recipe everyone used to put 15+ whoop asses on us.  Better ball movement leads to better open shots, spreads the floor and gets him 1:1 where he will feast.
