Ok I mean, of course, but just... it's like asking Columbus North to beat Center Grove in the sectional. Columbus North could be an excellent football team and they ain't hanging with CG. We'll see.

I will contest the games against OSU, PSU, UM weren't/aren't really our issue though. Going to OT with a MAC school, getting waxed by Maryland/Rutgers, and playing like complete shit against Purdue, MSU, and ILL when it mattered are all BIG issues compared to those other three games.

THIS^^ Getting regularly beat by similar or lesser programs is what cost CTA's job. Same thing will happen to Cig. I just don't see it happening unless he's the biggest bullsh*t artist of all time. He could be, but his track record backs what he's saying.

Don’t want to derail this thread but not gonna lie miss you over on the bball board telling people they zero clue what’s going on…we kinda need that now and again over there.

The problem with basketball boards is unless they win every game, it's just constant gloom and doom. I am a bigger IUBB basketball fan than an IUFB fan (if I had to rank that is) but the negativity is unbearable and quite frankly takes away from both the fun of the boards and the games. I am not speaking for anyone but myself, but I wanted to chime in on the subject since I rarely check the basketball threads these days unless it's about recruiting.

Quite the haul-and early Christmas present. All seem accomplished. I have to wonder how they will fit in here. Can they be as successful against top 10 teams? Will they still be on track to graduate on time in their majors? Figure most of the friends are on the football team but will they be leaving behind girlfriends? Certainly says a lot about their respect for Coach C.

I think these guys will bring leadership and be quality depth pieces. I don't think every JMU transfer will be starting. Most of these guys have one year of eligibility. This is a smart way to ensure you have a solid base. He's trying to win in year one. It's much more of a risk to bring in guys he doesn't know.

To be fair to the Pacers and Haliburton and really Trayce, he'd do similar things with the way the Pacers and Haliburton run the show.  It was also a matter of need.  Pacers have rim runners.

Also the Pacers all but said they were told not to draft him.

Agreed. The point I was trying to make (albeit poor wording perhaps) is that Gunn plays too fast, and doesn't let a chance to get a good screen, and a wide open look. The vast majority of his shots have been while he's on the move, trying to create a shot for himself, and forces it.

Both him and Banks need to slow down and let the game to them a bit more. Take shots in the flow of the offense.

Amazing.   I laughed out loud a few times.  Had my jaw dropped at least three.  Got on the edge of my seat.  I'm a believer.   I said go find the most arrogant son of a gun, I don't care what level, and bring him in.  Welp.  Thank you Dolson for taking my advice.

I just posted something similar on btbanners:  think it's weird that some people don't like this type of attitude. It's exactly what IUFB needs. We've been the doormat in both B1G & CFB forever, like literally. It's time we got a coach who acts, talks, and thinks he's the best, and doesn't back down to anyone. To be the good, you have to believe you are good. He's got me believing. Can you imagine this guy's team going 3-24 in the conference? I can't.

According to what Klay said in that article sounds like Baby T might have graduated to Trayce Jr last night.  Nice job TJD!

I love all of this. I'm not as old as some of you geezers, but I am old enough and TJD is one of my favorite IU players ever. Went through some lean(er) years and caught a lot of flak but never gave up, got better, and loves IU. I wish he had been surrounded by better players because he deserved a good tourney run as a swan song.
