Yes, Pacers fans are hard on him.
As they should be.

I honestly think Pacers fans are hard on PG, but dear goodness does he deserved to be absolutely shredded tonight. If @Hoosierhoopsterhas an unbiased bone in his body he will print out a picture of PG and set fire to it tonight.
Hard on him? He completely bailed on the Pacers in the prime of his career when they were still decent and willing to pay him. In reality they got lucky, he’s not a leader or prime time player worth a max contract.

Since when do we expect a BIG to develop an outside shot? Did Luka Garza dominate at the 3 pt line or in the PAINT? I want our BIGS to DOMINATE in the area they man & that’s in the PAINT!!! I thought Guards & Wings were supposed to have an outside game?? Bigs who need a jumper are Bigs who can’t dominate!!!
Since it’s 2020.

So he had a bad spell and wandered off to Marian instead of Assembly Hall?

I’d pay good money to see that especially the look on Devonte and Justin’s faces. We’d be down at least 2 players before the speech was over.
What about the other five guys throwing up brick after brick? Those two seem to be the toughest guys on the team based on all the flack they've taken but haven't quit or transferred. They might have major flaws in their game, but they've stuck around when many people have wished them off the team.

I would rather us not get anymore OAD players as well. I would take the low 5 star or high 4 star players who will stay a few years like have at UNC. Until this year UNC had not had many OAD players and have won a lot with those type of players. I want to build our roster the way UVA and Villanova as well because it is easier to stay on top.
What might UNC’s turn towards one-and-done players mean for NCAA Tournament results (story)

Many remember the guys that play and coach the game only a select few get remembered for writing about it
Yeah, if you equate " most of us learn to write in 2nd grade, then move on to better things" to only include basketball writing. But I will defer to The Daily Hoosier. Just because Knight says clever lines doesn't mean they hold an ounce of truth. I welcome him back to the Hoosier state though. I hope to see him at Assembly Hall. My guess is he's more apt to show up at a practice, than a game. But it would be a great program energizer to have him acknowledge the program in any fashion. He seems to like Archie. Can't say the same about anyone else before him.

100 percent correct. Anything to sell a story for many writers. (Not TDH). To quote coach " most of us learn to write in 2nd grade, then move on to better things"
...like coaching a game and taking it very, very seriously.

I wonder how much Devonte and OG talk about IU basketball? There has to be conversations with Danny about playing at IU.

People who spell a lot "alot". I am no expert in grammar or spelling, but it's a pretty simple thing to remember. Alot is not a word.

It's such an odd dynamic. PG bonded with Russ and has bought in fully to OKC.
He just had a genuinely fantastic season, best of his career, and before his shoulder injury, which obviously limited him down the stretch, was flat out killing it and pushing past Harden for #2 in the MVP race (which Greek Freak has locked up imo).
Adams has been pretty key to that team, a monster up front. They also had to go a full season without Roberson, who makes that team so deep defensively, probably the best perimeter defender in the game, and it's unclear how well he'll return next season, after multiple set backs.
They definitely need more shooting. Outside of PG, they don't have much in the way of consistent perimeter shooting. They did upgrade their bench with Schroder, but he's not a shooter, and Morris. I think they should keep Adams, but do everything they can to add at least one legit starter-level outside shooter. No one is trading Westbrook from OKC. Man he needs to buy in to distributing more and shooting less.
PG made a mistake going out west, but he did avoid the dumpster fire called the Lakers. And to think LA fans (and the media) thought LBJ plus Rando, Beasley, Lance and a ham sandwich were going to get them to the finals (or whatever bs they were trying to sell). I remember seeing highlights of Lance at practice, making trick shots or what-have-you, and "reporters" acting like he was the next Magic. I was like ok, good luck with all that. The hype was unreal. Anyone who knows anything knew that was going to burst into flames.

Pacers are meeting candidates this week and next, a roster of interviews that so far has included former Grizzlies/Kings coach Dave Joerger and Pelicans assistant Chris Finch, sources tell ESPN. Joerger is a strong contender in process. Chauncey Billups gets a sit-down soon too.
