double edged sword... fans want the latest and greatest news and updates as soon as they come in, but if one of these guys gets something wrong, good lord the world is ending. The real ones stay guarded. the click baiters dont care.
Have to take it for what it is, unverified tidbit of relative information with a degree of accuracy. Until it confirmed by IU or the pertinent party it’s just tantalizing news. If it doesn’t pan out, no big deal. KEEP THE INTEL GOING AS IT’’S MUCH APPRECIATED

Honest question because i've been really busy and have had a hard time keeping up.
Is it expected that Ledlum, Ware and Malik would play at the same time? I know Ledlum is more versatile than Kopp, but I thought Woody was going to try and move away from these line ups. If this were to come to fruition are we going to be able to get that spacing we've desperately been wanting?
I guess I was imagining something like: Malik, Ledlum, a quick and lengthy guard who can rebound, a guy like Timberlake and XJ.
There are different kinds of “bigs” ; ie, differently skill sets. I think the type of big Woody wants to bring in are different than the “ bigs” he had last year so yea, I think you could play multiple “bigs” at same time.

I have no clue if courtesy is still held in high regard in athletics anymore but maybe if he has made a decision both parties said hey let's announce tomorrow. Today is about UConn/SDSU.
With all due respect to any transferring player, I doubt any committed transfer announcement is big enough to overshadow the national championship game. It may be the other direction; he doesn’t want to compete against the game.

IU’s pitch
1. JHS is going to be a lottery pick
2. Mike Woodson has coached in the NBA
3. Serious NIL $$$$ available with so many guys leaving/graduating
4. IU needs guard/wing scoring for their new play style
This is what they’re GOING to pitch OR what you THINK or ANTICIPATE what they will pitch?

It's slang for "the guy who is going to pay for the player to come to your school". not one person in particular.
Ok, thought it was referring to a specific person.

The Bag Man is trying to get it done. Everyone chill.
I’m sorry, who the hell is the bag man? Initials, nicknames. Doesn’t anyone speak English, lol.

Watching him on ESPN and I’ll simply say this. I. Like. His. Game. What a pure stroke.
Agree. Had a nice drive to hoop on a floater and nice three pt stroke for three. AND, didn’t force aanything , let the game come to him. Not like a few of the other players.

Looking at all these posts on kids transferring made me wonder what the process is. Do they sign paperwork like they do as freshman? Do they just transfer schools and show up with a verbal commitment? I have to imagine there is some kind of formal commitment paperwork completed but don’t really know.

I think everyone agrees Love is a one year rental no matter what. If it works he is on to nba…if it doesn’t he is gone to g league or to another school. If he is a problem he won’t be here I feel confident about that. Without a primary scoring option we will be in trouble and will be looking at a team like Archie’s that struggled to put up points. He is talented..and I hope in a more structured well defined offensive system would benefit and have better shot selection. We are just losing so much scoring it’s impossible to find this level of potential replacement in the portal. JHS and Trayce initiated almost all our offense last year. I don’t think X alone is enough. The guys we are recruiting don’t seem to be able to really go get their own shot. We need that ability. It might not be ideal but it’s really this type of player that we need. If there was another in the portal interested I’d take them…but beggars can’t be choosers…we are in a pickle in 2023-24.
That’s one reason to get the Gilbert kid out of UNLV. 6’4, can score. Shoots threes at a high % and can drive to basket.

To me it’s about quality and not quantity. We aren’t wanting to push out developing our own young guys. I want minutes to develop Gunn, Cupp, Newton, and Banks.
Agree we don’t want to impede their progress but at same time don’t want to lose program momentum at the expense of playing them If not ready. Tight edge to navigate

3 spots open (probably 4 depending JHS), who are you taking for the final 3?
Gilbert, Sedrick, and Love or Ludlum

Don’t know who this ‘Hoosier Fan’ is or if he actually knows anything, but posted this on Twitter:
Learn the name Keshon Gilbert.
This kid is what IU needs. Explosive, athletic guard that is extremely crafty around the rim & can hit the 3 at a high clip.
He has flown under-the-radar in the portal, but IU is currently recruiting him.

I have a bunch of buddies that are UNC fans. They are all ecstatic that Love is transferring.
Yea, seems to be a “get mine” kind of player.

....just thinking out loud here. Could we possibly have our pick of top players linked to IU in the portal? IU has been trending up over the past two years. I just get that vibe, totally my opinion.
Not so sure we’re quite in that position YET.but like the thought.

Probably. But, realistically... I don't think he'd start over Malik.. and he and Malik starting alongside each other or playing heavy mins together would be a stark contrast to what CMW said in his press conference post Miami.
Agree, Don’t think he would either but could be dependent on if Woodson able to get his type of players from the portal or if current players evolve into. My thought is Sparks likely to be a bench player but might be thinking he has an opportunity to start and Woodson would not dissuade that thought.

I'm surprised Sparks is willing to come off the bench.
Not being combative, but aren’t you assuming (?) that he is/was be told he would be a bench player . I would think Woodson would tell him he can compete to start but also tell him what he is or what he could be competing against.

Bidunga’s last play was pretty impressive though. Rebound, coast to coast dribble and basket ( overturned due to questionable charge call)
