I’m OK with BIG teams doing good in the tourney for the league’s perception, recruiting, etc., BUT they’ll have to do it on their own. I’m not rooting for them!

Jay Wright likes IU to Sweet 16. Interesting

It’s not going to matter if we Don’t come out ready to play and focused. If IU comes out and plays lackadaisical again ………

Maybe got the best draw of the 1 seeds with Houston. Especially if star player out. If they can get that far.

Last year was bad. Uncertain we were in, seeing other bubble teams pop up, last region revealed.
Anything will be better than being one of the last 4 in!

Not trying to be combative, but I don't care about other teams. I care about IU. If we can make five ft and in bank shots that would give us an advantage, if other teams can't.
I agree , players should use the backboard lot more than hey do, BUT modern players, including IU’s just don’t want to it appears.

If we had been wildly successful recently and this was a super-attractive job that people were tripping over themselves trying to get into, we could maybe get away with that. We haven't been nearly good enough recently to justify getting rid of anybody after tying for second in the Big Ten. But our fanbase has an antiquated view about that, among many other things.
Silly and short sighted notion to fire Woodson already. Things are trending the right direction and the majority of these players weren’t recruited by Woody. We’ve yet to see the makeup of a Woodson team. There ARE things he needs to improve on and I think he will.

Hard to get involved when all we run is the pick and roll for 2 guys. Garbage points are left when TJD kicks it out. Its not like we run anything for shooters. 90% of the time Kopp isnt ready to shoot, maybe shocked he got the ball, IDK. I wish Kopp and TB's mind sets were reversed.
I do think Kopp kind of looses focus waiting for a kick out. See tooo many times where JHS could look to pass it to him open and doesn’t. Maybe because JHS isn’t a looking-to-pass first PG.

Not only did Lunardi drop us to a 5…he has us playing ORU. Damn.
Probably the least respected of them all by me and a lot of others I think. So don’t care.

Delphi 'won' all the way back in 2016. They were 48th last year.
Which just goes to prove how random they all are and how in reality they’re just EDUCATED guesses

You'd have him where? Just curious
Don’t know where he’d be in the rotation, being Freshman , but guard with good size and ability to score . Saw a game where he had just recently come off an injury and he looked like he can score inside and out. But hey, I’m no talent scout, lol.

XJ
TG
Bates
Stretch 4
Malik
Cupps
Banks
JG
5 man, rim protector, 6'10+
That would be close to my ideal rotation. Also... XJ is going to bully Cupps in practice often, that'll be a good thing for Gabe.
Might be sleeping on Newton, who’s also coming in with Cupps.

It will at a minimum really hurt his NBA draft stock, IMO.
I seriously doubt that it has any effect on his draft status. As long as it doesn’t blow up to the extent it becomes a PR nightmare and he becomes a pariah most teams aren’t going to care. Unless in interviews he comes across as having major character issues

Man...I never thought I'd ever see OSU look as bad as they do in this stretch. Holtman gets an F in assembling this team, an F in developing this team and an F in bench coaching this team. Could you imagine being an OSU recruit invited to this game?
Well, they could look and be saying “ damn, I for sure can beat these guys out and start.”

This is a compliment to IU. If he is fine playing a premier team on the road and being afraid of playing Indiana, that's a feather in IU's cap. That Wat Shot loss obviously traumatized him.
Having said that, Woody and Cal are friendly. Woody understands the history and tradition of this series. To Calipari it seems to be meaningless. But Woody has the type of personality where we might work something out, even if it requires an Indy/Louisville rotation. Bob Knight accepted that. We don't need to be afraid of our own shadow thinking Cal will steal Indiana kids by showcasing the games in Indy. Knight didn't overthink it. We played it that way and I predict this comes back now that Fred is gone. Don't let fear of KY recruiting dictate what you do here.
Speaking only for myself, the series means a lot to me and I want it back. I think the benefit is worth it for a variety of reasons that we have hashed out over the years.
I’ve been following and watching IU basketball before Knight was coach, and I don’t care if we ever play Kentucky again as long as Calipari wants to dictate the where and how the two should play. Gonzaga’s being manipulated by Calipari and should tell them to FO. Kentucky thinks they’re superior to IU ( and everybody else most likely ).

Definition of “ blue blood” : 1. descent from nobility 2. A person of such descent; aristocrat.
by virtue of FIVE national championships IU is a blueblood as they are among a very small group who have accomplished that over a extended period of time. But not ELITE since the 80s. The later doesn’t change the former on my humble opinion. That said, kids today surely only look at what have you done lately to determine a blueblood.

I heard a national guy say that IF IU takes Page that closes the Book on Booker. I don't think that's the case, as Page potentially to IU builds i think MSU picks up more CB picks.
Actually, getting Page’s commitment just MIGHT help with Booker ( go Irish) as it could eliminate concerns that he would ghet stuck playing down low a majority of time. 😉

From Rabjohn tweet and 247 article:
“I love Indiana" - 2023 wing Jamie Kaiser, who has been one of the top recruiting prospects in the country this week, updates where Indiana stands with him. #
Can’t read, but interesting and encouraging statement.
