I have decided to unfollow the NFL.

Any league that encourages or allows a team to stay in the locker room during the national anthem is not deserving of my time.

I may be in the minority but that’s the way it is

Add me to the list. You can also add the NBA, Nascar and ESPN. I hope they all go down the sewer.

Praise GOD Aydens covid test came back negative. Still sick and it takes him so long to recover but we are very happy for sure.

Fantastic news. One day at a time for Ayden to recover. Reading this made my day. You are all an inspiration to me. Wishing you all nothing but the best every single day!

  3. I was in Kokomo visiting my oldest brother and the temperature outside was almost 90. I got to South Bend around 4:30 and the temperature had dropped to 71 degrees. Got back home to Portage, Michigan about 90 minutes later and the temperature was back to 90 degrees.

I'm at the point right now with my cherry tomatoes that I almost cherish each one. I had 1 ripe one this morning and I was like Tommy Boy with the roll in the diner.

Our garden is struggling this year. We have kept it watered but it just seems like it won't get going. I think my wife's green thumb is turning brown. lol

Aaron musta lost that "Lovin Feelin." 😁

Probably got tired of her whiny butt!

The Appalachian trail is something I've been interested in doing at some point. Thru hiking would be my top choice but section hiking seems more realistic.

So does your wife camp on the trail whole stint or make trips into towns?

She stays on the trail. Occasionally she will go into towns to do laundry and shower. She did a stint in February and got into some really cold weather with heavy snow. I think she is crazy but she loves it

I wasn't planning on this project. My mother-in-law lives with us and her Mobility has been declining. Made the decision to rip out the tub and replace with a shower. Over the last two weeks I have been spending a few hours in the evenings and have the shower done. Not quite as fast as @Billingsley99. Vanity and paint yet to come. You can't have a new shower with an old vanity for some reason.

So decided to remodel the house starting with the living room floor. Tore out the carpet, and installing laminate flooring.

Progress pic, really thought I'd get more done today but didnt anticipate subfloor prep.

Unfortunately, there aren't very many "quality" sub-contractors out there anymore. 45 years ago when I built our first house, the quality control on a $40,000 house was outstanding. Things were "done right"

Now days, the motto among the workers (usually) is "Hell, it's better than my house, so it's good enough", or my all time favorite..."just caulk it". Sad.

That's why I was on site every day, every hour that I had subs working on any of our houses we built. Didn't yell, or scream, just being there let them know I was watching. Very few problems.

And once you find a good contractor (I know a lot of you guys are doing your own work which is great, but for future reference) ask him for references of other contractors you might need. Most of the good ones, tend to work together on larger projects.

Some great tips and you are so right in this.

Looks great. Love the color choice.

When doing home fixups, nothing surprises me. When I removed the one piece tub shower unit earlier this year the wall behind the shower only had insulation in one cavity and it was installed incorrectly.

I use the Boy Scout Motto, "Be Prepared" for anything.

    Looking forward to more updates.
