7-14 on FTs is pathetic.

This more than embarrassing…. but not surprised in the least.

But I guess my realist (no offense) or pessimistic view, however you’d like to view it is that we’ve played just as poorly (more times than not) so far as we have like we did against Kansas. The Kansas game can give us hope, but it’s not hard to see that there’s a lot less room for error with this team in numerous areas than there was last year (and we weren’t great last year, but we did have more higher end talent that could cover up deficiencies more easily). Hope I’m wrong and that this team takes off and finds their footing.

It’s not though. Look at ALL of the metrics from last year at this time vs this year. There IS real reason for concern. We have zero quality non-conference wins (including taking two beatdowns) and the Big10 is definitely down this year making it harder to get quality wins the rest of the way. The numbers don’t just magically change.

Simply going off of memory. Correction…. There were 10 teams within two games between 2nd and 11th. My point doesn’t change a single bit. Good catch though! You got me! Ha ha. 🙄

But apparently we’re the ONLY fan base that helps make their decisions. 😂

Tied for second, but were one game out of 12th. We didn’t resoundingly finish in second. Good grief. Great, yes you post where and what you want JUST LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE. Tough concept. Glad you seem to get it now.

Not at all, just higher standards than you. We were very close to being in 12th last year. That’s a fact, not belittling anybody. Again, stop responding if you don’t like the conversation. But you just can’t. Either want to control threads or lack the discipline to ignore it…..

You realize MR struggles with all of those right? 😂 We can agree to disagree that our lack of 3 point abilities haven’t contributed to our results.

You do realize it’s relative though right? If Auburn isn’t scoring at-will and we’re having much better defensive possessions, we don’t get as many possessions on offense and don’t score as much …..tough to say the offense was good when we scored like 6 points in the last 10 min of the first half. I’d say the offense was very good the first ten minutes, but not sure after that.

Yeah, no kidding. And he’s not going to win without sharpshooters. Knect for sure…. How do you define realistic? If you don’t reach out to a quality shooter then of course you don’t have a realistic chance. There were tons in the portal that went elsewhere. You can do your own research if you want a list. I’m not doing it for you. Again, it’s his job to find shooters that will inevitably give us a better chance to win. If you think he can win in modern day basketball without quality shooters then I want whatever you’re smoking. It ultimately limited us last year, and it’s hurting us this year. Don’t think it’s really debatable.

We don’t get many open, easy looks from the perimeter. You saw what happened early against Auburn when they left us open. MR needs to kick it out to open shooters when he’s getting double and triple teamed. Bottom line.

So continue to do something that isn’t sustainable nor able to help us win in the long run? I mean, we can’t and will not beat good teams by making less than five threes a game. So… 🤷🏻‍♂️ MR needs to hit open shooters when he’s getting double or triple teamed. This mindset you speak of (if he has it) is detrimental and will not help us win against good teams. He might get his, but we won’t win.

Again, I like Woody and think he deserves some leeway, but end of the day, it’s not his job to “try”. It’s his job to get it done. So again, we’re in year 3 of the NIL, transfer portal and we haven’t had one guy that could/can get his own shot when we absolutely need one. JHS to some extent, but he wasn’t a lethal perimeter shooter and he was recruited as a combo guard, more-so a PG, not a shooter.

We aren’t hitting a high enough percentage because they don’t get a lot of open looks. Maybe if MR was kicking it out when he should we’d be hitting at a higher clip. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don’t think I ever said that. But I was hoping in year 3 with the portal and NIL money that we’d have a team that could shoot it better, guard better, and rebound better. At least be competitive against good teams. Was that unrealistic?

I think you’re missing the point now.

Kind of hypocritical right? Seems pretty fragile to constantly take shots at people that disagree with your take.
