The first one he got down towards the low block was called by the official out on the wing, not the one right there by the play. That’s the type of BS that drives me nuts more than an official simply missing a call.

Hard to imagine? I’m thinking, it’s hard to imagine us NOT disappointing in a road game we SHOULD win. Hate to be pessimistic, but we just haven’t proven we’re capable of that toughness yet. Didn’t show up early at Syracuse and fell HORRIBLY apart at Wiscy in the second half.

He’s okay. Still football season. Nobody notices!

I don’t think it’s a bad idea at all. Raise money for the site, open the thread to only people donating, and let people vent/curse/insult, etc. for one whole day!

Was unsure how to attach it or where the best place was to put it, but ESPN has a mock draft up with TJD at 54! Not close to sniffing the first round.

CAM got plenty of guys on campus. He just didn’t close the deal with those out of state 5 star guys. IMO it’s a little premature to think things have really changed yet. TBD for me. Don’t get me wrong, we don’t have the same quality right now if CAM had stayed (most likely), but who knows with the transfer portal. College bball completely changed this past offseason. I like what CMW has done so far, but it’s all been based off of his NBA experience. Now let’s see if we can win games and build something sustainable.

Good analysis by those guys. I would venture to say 99% of IU fans don’t hate XJ, they are just like me, and understand that his decision making / improvement can make the difference in us making a tourney run and not even making the tourney. We NEED him to be a playmaker that plays within himself. Unfortunately playmakers have to blur the line and try to force things sometimes, so I guess we’re asking a lot of him. Be aggressive, get down hill, but be under control. If you have a window, take it, but if you don’t be smart enough to pass it or pull it back out. I can be critical of XJ, but that’s only because I can see how good we are when he’s clicking. But, as I said before, he should be commended for already making us better. Unfortunately there is a lot on his shoulders. He seems to be the kid you love to be around and coach, but there are times you want to grab him and shake him (if that makes sense) to get the bad out.

There are a lot of directions this roster could go next year, but imagine how much better we’d be if TJD stayed another year (not going to happen). This would be the next ideal, but would leave us short in the middle without a big jump from JG or LD. Johnson, Lander Hood-Schifino, Stewart, Leal, Gunn Kopp, Bates, Galloway, Banks Thompson, Gerronimo Duncomb My guess is that RP has had enough and TJD is gone for sure. I left off Durr, but can see any of XJ, PS, MK, or RT saying I’m done with school. Hope those 4 stay though bc the roster would be really tough. But missing a presence in the middle , although I think we’d be good with RT, JG, and LD.

I don’t think ANYBODY has a complaint about XJ’s personality or aggressiveness, but if we’re just supposed to live with the poor shot selection and out of control tendencies because he brings the other positives, then we aren’t getting close to our potential this year. Somebody (coaching staff ?) has to get him to understand that we can be a REALLY good team if he makes better overall decisions. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with demanding that. If it’s simply “we have to live with the bad to get the good”, then we won’t go very far. Saw how that worked out with DG. It stinks for XJ because he’s already made us much better and deserves credit for that, but he’s also what’s holding us back from being REALLY good.

Be awfully MORE impressive if he didn’t miss 3-5 bunnies every game.

Imagine how much better we’d be if he made better overall decisions! Wondering if he understands he can be that energy, get to the basket, dish guy who plays tough D without taking poor shots, being out of control, and making stupid fouls.

Not a very well played game, but a win is a win. Results are what I’m after! I’ll be disappointed if we don’t take a 7 game win streak into Iowa City. OSU at home should be the only true challenge and being at AH we have to win those games!
