  1. I don’t disagree we are sailing in a better direction. All I’m saying is what happened at Syracuse and at Wisconsin is reminiscent of what we’re used to. And until I see the changes in the W/L column, the perceived improvements don’t mean much. With wins today and at PSU, that thought will begin to change slightly.
  2. So, now we’re winning the home games we expect to win, but still losing the road games we expect to lose. I’m sure we’ll get over the hump of not finishing road games we should win with CMW, but to my original point, the results aren’t much different just yet.
  3. Meh, point is, we’re likely 7-2 with CAM as coach too. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  4. Ha ha. Amazing that you’ve had so many wives if you’re able to sense my emotions. I’m not upset and couldn’t care any less if somebody disagrees with me. You’re right, it is a forum for discussion. I already acknowledged that there were indicators that suggested we were better, and said I like and believe in CMW, but those things mean nothing without results. Not sure what there is to discuss …. with me at least. I don’t think our record would look any different right now if CAM was still here. Bottom line. P.S. - You picked one loss from CAM’s tenure to show how greatly improved we are now? I guess I could counter that with he had a win (or two?) at MSU. Is CMW not as good as a coach yet bc he hasn’t beaten a good team on the road? Guess that’s a result or indicator too. End of the day I’ll judge CMW on the season, and based on the schedule I expect a lot better. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  5. I think you should re-read as opposed to arguing with me or trying to debate me. I DON’T GIVE A HOOT ABOUT INDICATORS OR WHAT YOU PERCEIVE TO BE BETTER. I’ll believe it when the results start showing up. Which SHOULD happen this year for the most part, given the SOS compared to last.
  6. For me, I’m not convinced THIS team is any different than the last few years. Sure, there are indicators that suggest we’re better, but without results those indicators mean nothing.
  7. Oh man, that’s opening a whole other can of worms. Ha ha. Thread derailer!
  8. I have to say, with the disclaimer that I really like CMW so far, that CMW had way too long of a leash and tolerance for XJ in the second half against Wiscy. He did NOT handle that well. I’m sure he still thought that was our best option, but dang… I think we already addressed this in the two previous posts. 👍🏼
  9. The world tried to pretend like the Big10 was going to be down this year ….. not so sure about that. A couple teams, Maryland and Michigan, are underachieving, and maybe PSU is really bad, but other than that Minny, Wiscy, Iowa, and Rutgers appear to be better than we thought! Just no easy games.
  10. Yeah, we don’t really have a better option right now. Just hope XJ reigns in the poor decisions a little bit / learns when it’s a good idea to push it, good idea to pull up to shoot, and when it’s not. We can’t have a PG who can’t make FTs and plays out of control.
  11. Don’t waste your time then…. because he will be.
  12. Amazing how Calipari can’t field teams with shooters! Too busy chasing those flashy 5 star athletes. His can never shoot though.
  13. I disagree man. Missing 5 FTs … XJ and TJD, along with TJD missing a point blank put back and other bunnies late in the game has ZERO to do with a new environment. I’ll give you the Syracuse game, but we had upperclassmen that had multiple opportunities from an individual aspect to ice the Wiscy game, and they didn’t get it done.
  14. I think what you’re saying applies more to the Syracuse game (slow start, first road game, etc), but I don’t think that works for the Wiscy game where we had veterans with multiple opportunities to make individual basketball plays to close the game out. And none of them had the mental toughness or drive to execute. TJD missing a couple bunnies and XJ missing so many FTs (not to mention the TON of poor shots he had late) are just two of the examples. Parker Stewart missing a wide open three late when he had been money all game is another example. Just don’t have that toughness, refuse to lose mentality on this team.
  15. And the main reason for me that it’s so disappointing we didn’t take care of business when we had the chances at Syracuse and at Wiscy. Veteran teams should finish those games off, bottom line.
  16. Same name on the front of the jersey, same results. Verdict is still out whether that will change or not.
  17. Legit power conference teams? I guess. Both are less-talented than us, and overall mediocre. 3 minutes of good ball from being undefeated is awful optimistic, seeing that we were dreadful in 2 of the 4 halves. Heck, we were dreadful in the first half against Marshall, and struggled in the 2nd half against St John’s. Heck of a lot more than being just a few minutes away from undefeated. I’ve not given up on this staff, but I’m also not sold either. I’ll start believing when we start seeing results go our way. We can play 35 minutes of great ball every game, but if we still lose, I don’t give a hoot about those 35 minutes and perceived improvement from last year.
  18. He’d have Purdue on his list if he was elite athletically. 😝
  19. Two predictions - TJD will score at will and dominate while he yells at the top of his lungs and 💪. We’ll win by 30 and think we’ve righted the ship. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  20. Prob right, but it really shouldn’t be a game.
