  1. I really want him to do great, but I worry about this years transition for him having a bad impact. It makes you wonder if having a better team and another play-making guard might hurt X. That could be completely dumb to think, but he definitely seems like he has ti prove himself right now instead of just playing his role.
  2. It’s crazy how it works out. Two weeks ago in my other league, I had over 130 pts, but still lost because the team I faced had 3 guys double or triple their projected points…. This is like golf, love and hate it at the same time lol.
  3. Excited as I will get to watch this live! I was happy the bench got so much run in the 1st game, and hope it continues if we blow out teams. They need the experience but also not to burn out our main guys by the end of the season. I’ve seen some concern with Race’s lack of competitiveness. I would reserve judgement right now, as I can see him being someone who wants the other guys, especially the newcomers to get adjusted quickly. He’s been amazing for us, so I wouldn’t write him off yet. Let’s see what happens when the games mean a little more. I’m a little more concerned with X, but he started slow last year as well.
  4. I think if both X and JHS are out, I would like to see Race and Kopp in there to help with ball-handling. Bates and Trey will be fine, but would like to give them help if they are being pressured.
  5. I think the perimeter defense can easily be fixed, I think it’s just miscommunication when they go from switching everything to not. I noticed on a few plays where they stopped switching, one guy got lost because they tried to switch, but weren’t supposed to. I know you said you only watched the highlights but wanted to point that out. I think this defense can be elite this year if they can fix that.
  6. Get this, in my other league (for money) I have the most points by 70, but I’m in 5th place……. I have 150 more than who’s in 1st place. So frustrating lol.
  7. Whoop whoop My 3-headed monster has been really paying off: Lamar Jackson, Cooper Kupp, and Travis Kelce. I’ve been the benefactor of my other players stepping up due to injury or playing better than expected.
  8. Good team effort with everyone contributing. The Hoosiers did what there were supposed to do, and they will only get better. Good defense and I think that will be the major strength of this team. If the shooting can be respectable, I really like this teams ceiling and post-season hopes.
  9. I went with TJD, but it was a close one. Want to give a shout-out to Geronimo, he played way better than he did in the exhibitions. Still needs to have quicker feet for defense, but he looked more calm out there and had good handles.
  10. I should have clarified with JimmyJohns. They are not my favorite, but they deliver and are decent so it makes one of the chains I eat more often.
  11. Which Wich has struggled here in St. Louis, and one of the popular locations here on the west side closed. Was a big deal when it first came, but fell out of favor as others suggested. Love me some Subway, Penn Station, Jersey Mikes, and Jimmy John’s.
  12. Favorite Player - Tom Coverdale (AJ Guyton second) Favorite Game Attended - Hulls’ second season at home vs Michigan. Team came away with a hard fought victory. Normally I only go to lesser games lol. Favorite Family Memory - I have 2. Last season, I took my two young sons to their first ever iubb game against Nebraska. Couldn’t ask for a better memory with my boys. Second is watching the IU vs Kentucky game at home with my dad. 1st time I got to watch one with him in awhile, and to have it end of the WatShot, it was a great celebration together lol. My dad is very mild mannered, and to see him get excited was awesome! Miss me some Buffa Louies!!!
  13. Thrilled that the regular season is finally here. Anything can happen, but have a good feeling about this team. Not saying final four or anything, but just a successful season that we can all be proud of. Like others have stated, I’m intrigued to see how X plays is this one. Hasn’t looked that good in the exhibitions, but he started off last year slow as well. I know we have JHS, but we still need a good X to have a chance to go far. Won’t be able to watch the game live because my son has basketball practice, but can’t wait to watch it when I get home! Go Hoosiers!!
  14. It’s finally here!! Been ready for some IU hoops, especially with the Colts and Blues doing poorly lol. With that, what are some of your favorite memories as we get the season started? - Favorite Player - Favorite Game Attended - Favorite Family Memory Those are just some ideas to discuss, but you don’t have to limit it to just that. Excited to get this season started!
  15. - Points: TJD - Rebounds: TJD - Steals: X - Blocks: TJD - Assists: JHS - 3’s %: Kopp - 3’s Made: Kopp - FT Attempts: TJD - FT %: JHS
  16. My oldest is in Kindergarten, and he’s hilarious lol. He recently discovered that a boy’s privates is also called, “the nuts!” He thinks this is the greatest thing in the world and that’s the only thing he will call it now lol. Having two young boys is something else!
  17. So who do you see leading IU in these categories when the season comes to a close? - Points: - Rebounds: - Steals: - Blocks: - Assists: - 3’s %: - 3’s Made: - FT Attempts: - FT %: Format is for if you just want to copy and paste these to respond. If I missed any, let me know and I will add it.
  18. Thanks! I’m not dying to get my second, but am definitely planning it. I’m a big Star Wars nerd so I’m thinking about having most of my upper arm in various characters, ships, etc. Biggest hurdle will be my wife letting me get something like that lol.
  19. If you ever want to give any away, I’m your guy lol. I love decorating and my kids love it. My oldest, who is 5 1/2, tries to help, but he’s more worried about just wanting to climb up and down the ladder trying to give me a heart attack. An example would be me on the roof putting lights up, and then all the sudden I see his head popping up over the roof because he climbed the ladder without my knowledge…… My biggest upgrade this year will be doing continuous archways that go over the sidewalk, and will sync it up to music.
  20. Doubled up their opponent tonight. Great job ladies!
  21. It’s been quite the journey the last 3 months. My wife’s car started acting up so we took it in at the beginning of August. Told we needed a new transmission, so we put in a new one. Then once that was done, her car started acting up with a different issue but this was even before the car left the body shop….. So, fast forward, we finally got her car back on November 1st. In total, we went 3 months without her car. To make matters worse, on Halloween, we dropped off my oldest at Kindergarten, and then my car quit working. Was quite the day since both of our cars were then in the shop. Luckily my car was an easy fix and was done that day, just needed a new alternator. We are fortunate now that both of our vehicles are working and running great.
  22. Well, for some reason I can’t get it from being upside down lol.
  23. Got my first tattoo last month and love it.
  24. We ended up with slightly over 300 trick-or-treaters this year. Our neighborhood is great for Halloween (and other holidays) with some houses doing hotdogs, and another house doing coloring books. It’s a blast with most people sitting in their driveway with fire pits going.
  25. Did anyone do any Halloween decorating this year? Here was my display. I hit the deals the day after and got some really good stuff.
