  1. Merry Christmas everyone. Have a safe, peaceful and blessed holiday.
  2. Several times tonight, KS players have gone down with the ball and no one from IU has even tried for the tie-up or steal
  3. Totally get that. When I lived in IA, I went to an IU/IA game when it was well below zero and had to walk a good distance from the parking lot. Thought I’d freeze to death. The burning in my lungs was brutal.
  4. That’s too bad. I expect a small crowd
  5. MO shot almost 60% for the game and had 13 steals
  6. 51-27 at the half. Big trouble in Champaign. B1G not looking good overall.
  7. Elon on the season is 29% from three. They shot 42% against us.
  8. We’re jogging back in defense, while the opponents are sprinting on the break or throwing passes over the D
  9. I get that, but they just got waxed by E ILL after recently losing their first B1G game at home in OT to WI. Three of their next four are road games against NEB, PSU and Rutgers, with the IU game in between. Those road games are all losable, but aren't teams that will likely contend for the top of the B1G. IU could be facing a very desperate team, in what would potentially be a Quad 2 win (or loss) at the time. Who knows where they will end the season.
  10. Iowa has road games at NEB and PSU before the IU game. If they stumble and fall below 75 in the NET, that could be a Quad 2 game. Not good.
  11. Yeah, that's the thing. He's technically over, but not by that much.
  12. So, he's right on the cusp of eligibility for a medical redshirt. Don't know if they count the game where he was injured. According to the NCAA rules, in order to be granted a medical redshirt, the athlete must: Suffer an injury that is deemed “season-ending” Their injury must occur before the halfway point of the season Not participate in more than 30% of the season’s games It is important to note that the injury has to be season-ending. A season ending injury results when an athlete suffers a major injury in which they will be sidelined for several months. However, it is ultimately up to the athlete to decide if they want to go through with surgery or medical repairs as opposed to playing through the injury. There are many injuries throughout a collegiate season that could qualify you for a medical redshirt depending on when they occured.
  13. Popular or not, that's a very accurate statement. When healthy, this IU team has the personnel to be a solid top 25 team, but not a top 5 team.
  14. I think if IU agreed to pick up the Squid's lifetime contract, KY would ship him to BTown tomorrow.
  15. Yeah, it's a tough call on Bates. They need his offense in the lineup, but in addition to some missed defensive assignments, he's foul prone. I think Trey is better coming off the bench than he is starting. He didn't contribute anything to start the game last night. Overall, I thought that was one of his worst performances. I've been impressed with how Bates has been able to check into a game cold and immediately knock down a shot. Maybe we currently have two sixth men and no starter at the two spot.
  16. I felt Tamar was on his way to MVP in first half, but he needs to stop playing D with his hands
