  1. if he was planning on smoking 3.4 lbs on his own, i think i'm actually impressed.
  2. not something i would have said, but you sure he isn't dealing? seems he might be in a state where he is a little deeper than a casual user.
  3. it definitely does. it's just tough because moral victories and tough scheduling doesn't get you too far if you aren't winning.
  4. couldn't agree more. always makes me miss HTD!
  5. so with the theory he isn't cheating, we're saying someone who has gotten in trouble at least twice for cheating has turned Houston into a powerhouse without cheating because he learned his lesson? i hope so. that would be good for him. i'll always be against him for what he did to us though.
  6. anyone think Samscum might be cheating at Houston to get them up to #6?
  7. absolutely. people often think being a good player automatically makes you a good coach. Magic is my all time favorite NBA player. he was a terrible coach. i think Penny is as dirty as they come too.
  8. Juwan Howard and Patrick Ewing (to a lesser degree) also come to mind.
  9. he's a great example of a guy with no coaching experience who got a job he shouldn't have because of his name, then of course can recruit well because of his name and would be willing to bet breaking rules. THEN...people realize he can't coach and he'll get caught cheating soon, then bye bye Penny.
  10. see i disagree with this concept. if everyone is shooting poorly from 3, shouldn't they pass them up and drive to the basket or at least get a higher percentage shot?
  11. AAU or travel ball officials in this area have a tendency think people are there to be entertained by them. they talk to the crowd and joke, not even paying attention to the game some times. same with the charge calls, and then if a coach dares to question any of their calls, God help them! quick to T them up, smart A$$ comments to coaches that they won't let coaches make to them, etc., etc.
  12. yep. college coaches are paid to win. Arch has to play the guys he thinks will win games now. i thought lander would start from day 1, but it's pretty apparent that he is not ready. Arch can't put him in for minutes that would cost us the game. just gotta start upping his PT as we go. lander will get there. he's just not yet. i think we're seeing some promising signs about CAM. i'm not 100% sold personally, but i don't want him gone unless we are sure of the perfect next guy and that's hard to believe. we seem pretty clear that we don't want a big time personality or to dish a crazy amount of money out, right?
  13. definitely a topic that has been argued for a long time!
  14. understood, but i assure you that all message boards have this. if a recruit is looking to pick a school based on it having no fans calling for the coach to be replaced, they're going to have slim pickins!
  15. i always find it interesting that people think this too, but there are a handful on this site who think that.
  16. you may be right, but let's not forget what it's like to win on the road in conference. of course it isn't close to the same this year, but still not easy and Purdouche isn't bad.
  17. i have a feeling Lander is not the same player of the ball and i mean this in a bad way. to me he is a true PG. so quick, sees the floor well. seems like he can be an elite passer once he gets under control and figures out the speed of the game. on the other hand, his shot is ugly. i think he needs to be a PG.
  18. i mean i'm good with Lander getting more and more time and really even Al getting a little less, but again, Lander has a long way to go and Al helps us more right now. will that be the same in a month? maybe not. will it not matter much in month? maybe not.
