This is my thinking. At least for now, it seems best for us to have Michigan, Iowa, and Wisconsin to beat everyone else.

I wouldn't use the terminology, but I have seen plenty of 18 year olds in schools act bad enough and do bad enough things consistently to feel fine saying they are crappy kids. Sometimes and probably even most of the time it is mostly not their fault as it comes from home, but they still are crappy kids. They are used to people letting them have their way with everything. Extremely entitled. Treat kids and teachers like crap because they are good at a sport. Not okay.

I think we hope Baylor loses 1 in conference and then beats Gonzaga for us in the tourney?

First time in 60 years that Duke, KY, and NC are all unranked at the same time. Rejoice!

Unfortunately for us, I think all of the teams are pretty darn good. Look at the ACC/B1G challenge and other out of conference games. On top of that, those teams are clearly better than PSU and Nebraska. Then look at the NW and Purdue result.

I actually totally agree with you. I will also add that players used to play to their strengths. Try to get shots from where they shot high percentages.

I feel for how up and down you are Scott. I fear this team is going to keep you that way. You fight relentlessly to be positive and make everyone do the same, then we look absolutely awful and you get all negative, then you see bad bball from other teams and say this. Seems like this is about the 3rd cycle of this this year. I'm sure it's draining. I think you're a little right in that those teams have their flaws and aren't untouchable, but my logic in not having as much hope as you is that those teams are pretty much inarguably better than the 3 teams we have struggled to beat. The 2 losses that caused the most meltdown on this board were home to Purdue by 11 and home vs NW. Again, in theory those are the 2 weakest teams we have left on our schedule and we play at their place this time. You can definitely argue that Rutgers and MSU are beatable and not as good as NW and Purdue, but they are definitely better than the team we beat by 2 in 2OTs at home, the team we beat by 8 at home, and the team we beat by 8 on the road.

i really want to get that game in to hopefully get us back to .500 after the Wisc loss. at the same time, you're right. if he's out, do we possibly lose at NEB. can't have that!

agreed. i would say we were not supposed to win TX, FSU, or Illinois. had we won NW, could we really even say disappointing at all? let alone among the most disappointing. we are what was expected.

i can't read the article for some reason, but i'd argue that we aren't disappointing. experts thought we'd be 8th in the B1G and unranked. we're 5-4 and 11th in the conference. is that newsworthy? unless they mean the state of our program, but not this season particularly. now KY came in highly ranked and are 1-6 and unranked. that is very disappointing.

the thing is, i don't think we're a terrible team. really not even a bad team. i just don't think we're going to beat #10 Iowa either time, #19 NW at their place when we lost at home against them, either time vs. #14 Rutgers, or at Purdouche.

if i had to bet, i'd day we win 1 of those 8.

scary to think how good Rutgers is when they were missing their guy scoring 23ppg and still win that game.
