  1. NM - I see Xavier, Missouri, Cincy, Kansas St. Not bad.
  2. Who were the schools involved in his final decision?
  3. My father-in-law coached high school bball for 30 years in NY and always said if you lose by less than 5 points, it's on the coach. I definitely don't whole heartedly agree with that, but always haunted me as a coach unless we were big underdogs and managed to get closer to a team than anyone expected.
  4. That's fair. I think we are capable of winning just about any of them and capable of losing just about any of them. I just think we'll end below .500 in conference. Going by that stat, it would be fair to say the predictor would be surprised if we ended .500 or above.
  5. Thanks! This is what I have been curious about. So by whatever measures used for this system, they predict us to go 7-11. This year home/road doesn't matter nearly as much and we have definitely seen that anything can happen. Match-ups mean a lot for sure.
  6. Would still be tickled if we went 10-10. I know I have asked this a few times, but is anyone able to get on a site that shows predictors for our remaining games at this point? I know it's not the end all be all, but I'm just curious how that shakes out prediction wise. I would still think we would be underdogs in literally all games left. I don't think we're going 0 for, but odds are not good to go above .500 the rest of the way.
  7. Would be tickled if we went 10-10 in the B1G this year.
  8. Kind of like when a coach is deciding whether to call a timeout on the last possession to win the game or let it play out. If whatever you do works, all is good. If it doesn't, everyone will criticize it. I personally think both of these situations depends on your team and who you are playing.
  9. This is what I have kept thinking, but not chimed in yet. It worked and I think the odds were better that way honestly. We just didn't rebound.
  10. I love the idea, but seems like a complete stab in the dark to have any idea who we'd have interest in and who would be interested in us right? I guess guys who we were one of the final 2 or 3 for coming out of high school? It doesn't usually seem to work that way though.
  11. Momentum is so much more important to me. It also gives them a chance to set up a play to run on the offensive end.
  12. It's a huge new trend in HS ball around here that I don't get. The logic is to stop them and set up your defense to get a stop. I say it kills your positive momentum. When we had crowds and they're going wild because you're on a run, then you call a timeout to stop momentum and set up your defense? I disagree.
  13. Hire the best candidate. Simple. In any sport. Any team. Don't hire an alum just because or a guy because of what color he is. Hire the best candidate.
  14. So, I'm sitting here with some rare down time for both me and my 17 year old son. He's a bball junkie, so I knew we'd put any game on as we sit here. I looked at what the best ones would be at noon. 23 UConn vs 11 Creighton looked pretty good. Kansas vs OK looked pretty good. He insisted on unranked Auburn vs unranked SC. When I try to argue, he explains it's because Auburn has some freshman stud. Again, it helps put in perspective to me that this generation would rather watch a game because of one outstanding player in a meaningless game than two good teams playing for something.
