  1. I know it's common to hear glowing reviews when speaking to a reporter associated with a particular school, but you have to love McNeeley's quotes about our coaches, program, and state.
  2. Georgia struggled to stop OSU without their top two receivers, top two rb's, and top tight end. Kudos to the Buckeyes for putting themselves in position to win with what they had left. Bennett made two great throws for the comeback.
  3. No love for Michigan, but that was a touchdown for Wilson.
  4. Maybe we can get TJD's brother to transfer? He's getting a ton of camera time tonight. Wishful thinking.
  5. With USC and UCLA joining the B1G, SoCal kids and their HS coaches will probably be following the B1G and watching games. At least there will be a connection to IU football. Could lead to some potential recruits.
  6. The entire Connor Bazelak and Hiller debacle will effect CTA and Bell until they produce a successful qb and offense. It's just hard to understand how Connor was given complete, unquestioned control of the qb position when he struggled as much as he did. Who knows what went on behind closed doors, but I'll never understand how Tuttle wasn't given multiple opportunities throughout the season. He was a captain for a reason, and at least deserved a couple series when our offense was non-existent in multiple games. At least for me, if the two qb's are tied heading into our first game, the tie goes to the incumbent captain.
  7. What a great story and legacy for the family. Thanks for sharing.
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Emory Jones doesn't seem like the typical Jeff Brohm qb. Has he showcased many dual threat qb's? Off the top of my head he seems to go more with strong-armed, accurate passers, most of whom he developed for his system.
  9. I come here first hoping for some good news, or at least a vision for success moving forward. Appreciate the discussion.
  10. Agreed. Especially with the new coaching additions in the west. Sounds like the draw of family was very important. Good for him.
  11. Sign me up. And Alex Smith was Christian McCaffrey before they had spread offenses, only faster and more powerful. He was fun to watch in person while I was at IU.
  12. Who would you compare him to that IU has had previously? I was at IU when we had Alex Smith and he was an absolute stud. Does Carson have that kind of speed and power combination?
  13. Valid point, but lots of members of AAU. How they handle admissions for athletes varies greatly. Not certain on either school's admission policies, but I was surprised not to hear more about Deion and Tech given his history and their recent struggles in football.
  14. His name was thrown around only briefly down here. Many thought Georgia Tech would be the perfect spot with his history there with the Falcolns and Braves, recruiting base, urban demographics, and media spotlight. I wonder if the academic side of Georgia Tech wouldn't have worked with his recruiting philosophy?
  15. Agree 100% on both those points. Makes it hard to know who's for real. If OSU is healthy at rb and wr, that will be a high scoring affair with Georgia.
  16. But they lost. Twice. Facts. My point is the woulda/coulda game cuts both ways.
  17. Bama is also 5 points and a Quinn Ewers injury away from 4 losses. Without playing Georgia. And only 8 conference games.
  18. Our defense forced them into one on one offense and step back 3's. That defense will travel, and we're not reliant on hitting 15 3's to win a game. Points in the paint versus contested 3's. If not for the egregious free throw disparity, that was a blowout.
  19. Absolutely agree. My assessment is based on football alone, not personal behavior. Hopefully he has learned from past sins as he stated in his presser. Time will tell on both fronts.
  20. Time will tell. The guy can win and build a program. He also, unlike Harsin, knows the south. Keeping Cadillac was huge, and he won over the fans with his presser. All that being said, you have to win big and beat Bama in order to be viewed as successful.
  21. Hiller, Bell, and Bazelak. Nothing personal against them as people, but very poor decision making by CTA to allow how he handled them to affect the team culture. Blind faith is a great way to describe it. I wondered who chose, and stubbornly, stuck with Connor. That needs to be addressed.
  22. Spot on. We're not as far away as people think, and the transfer portal will cause big swings in roster makeup. Blindly sticking with CB and the hurry up offense for so long exhausted our defense, and probably cost us a bowl. Whoever made those calls needs to be held accountable. It will be telling who we add through the portal at qb.
