  1. Reverse TCU and Tennessee and I'd concur. If TCU wins out, they deserve to be in. Biggest battle will be loser of OSU/Mich vs Tennessee for 4th spot in my opinion.
  2. I would say it takes coaching, culture, AND recruiting. When Saban took over at Bama, his 2008 recruiting class was historically good, and most were from the state of Alabama and going there no matter who the coach was at the time. The culture was there with fans, facilities, and boosters, but their coaches were lacking. Saban was the right guy, in the right place, at the right time. I wondered as a B1G fan why Saban would leave MSU for LSU when he had the Spartans positioned better than LSU. Recruiting and culture. He traded in a used Cadillac for a new Ferrari no one else knew how to drive at the time, because he knew what LSU could become with him at the wheel.
  3. True, but considering the competition and venue, I think he's playing decent. Hopefully he gets the call the next two weeks to see what he can do. Bare minimum, both teams have to game plan for his mobility.
  4. Disappointed with the last couple plays, but offense looks completely different. This offense could be dynamic with Williams, Lucas, and a healthy Camper. Can't fix the line this season, but the last two teams are OSU either.
  5. Liked the combo of Lucas with Williams. Love to see Lucas move around and have Henderson in as well. This is a game to tinker without the pressure of winning.
  6. I didn't get to see last week. Still like our chances with him against Maryland, Rutgers, and Nebraska. Couldn't have done worse than Connor. At least offer a change of pace to affect the defense.
  7. How did he not get a look earlier this season? Might have cost us 2-3 wins.
  8. I guess it's the blind loyalist in me, but I hope they put up a fight, then win the last two. This season has been extremely disappointing, but I'd love for the players and coaches to finish with something positive. History tells me that won't happen, but if I relied on history, I wouldn't be an IU football fan!
  9. How about he comes back to IU as DC under Hugh Freeze or another offensive minded head coach with experience? Relieve some pressure, and do what he loves. We'll be paying him anyway, and he seems very likeable. There's a slim to none chance of probability, but fun to ponder. I just wonder if he might be cut out more for DC from a personality standpoint.
  10. I understand and agree with what you are saying, but it's the SEC, and a power struggle at Auburn. The boosters were never going to support him, and didn't want him in the first place. They control the money. And Auburn has a ton of money and will spend it to win.
  11. Oxford is a beautiful campus. Auburn has had multiple Heisman trophy winners, won a national championship and played for another, have a natural recruiting base with Alabama, Georgia, and Florida, and have a big budget. Ole Miss has none of those. I cheer for Auburn over Bama because most Bama fans are unbearable down here, but I'm not sure how the Ole Miss is equal to Auburn argument can be made without biases.
  12. Auburn is a significant step up. They can't be Bama every year, but they can win National championships. Ole Miss has no recruiting base, and a small population.
  13. I personally think Williams would make more sense for the future, but still want to win this season. Maybe we see both?
  14. Gotcha. I see your point, but I'm not sure they could wait that long if the current trajectory continues. Football has to produce more revenue, and our's would be in the toilet at that point. Let's just hope CTA gets it figured out, or bows out gracefully.
  15. How did you arrive at 2025 versus 2024? The biggest drop is in 2 years. Interested to know your thoughts. Btw, I hope CTA gets it turned around before that point.
  16. LSU has improved immensely as the players have bought in under Kelley. Not sure how strong they were earlier. Good news is UT and OSU will both have ample opportunities to prove themselves during the regular and post seasons. Rankings will matter only so two SEC or two B1G schools don't play in the first round of the playoffs. Personally hope UT blasts UGA this year, and beats Bama again, assuming Bama makes the conference championship. I have an old orange Dukes of Hazard tee shirt I'll wear just for you for the UT/UGA game!
  17. Their offense is stellar. Would be fun to see them against last year's Georgia defense. Up to this point, I think they've been the second best team in the country behind Ohio State.
  18. I appreciate your thoughts. Thanks. Connor has struggled all year to step into throws, even when he has had time (which isn't very often). That has lead to consistently high throws. That mechanical problem is compounded by poor decision making, which in fairness, is exacerbated by poor line play. CTA and coach Bell see them all in practice, and know their jobs are on the line, so I guess they feel nobody else can do better. But if Tuttle and Connor were truly neck and neck until the announcement of a starter, that tells me they were about even. How you don't give the other guy a shot, that happens to be a captain, is beyond me. Just very frustrating.
  19. I hear you, and think the same thing, but if Dexter can't at least offer us a change of pace after 3 years in the program, I guess we're not losing much? I just find it hard to believe Tuttle or Williams haven't been tried on a few series in different games just to see if there's any improvement. We literally couldn't have done worse in several entire halves this year, especially last week.
  20. I can't like this enough. If nothing else, inject some new energy and options.
  21. You seem pretty well connected and genuinely seem to care about the Hoosier football program. Appreciate what you bring to the board. Are you hearing anything about a qb switch or adjusting the offense? I still would love to see CTA make the changes to be successful, but he seems VERY slow to make adjustments. Is it CTA or Bell that refuse to try another qb? Bazelak has had beyond ample time to demonstrate what he can do in this offense. It baffles me that CTA isn't willing to at least try a other option. The combination of the offense and Bazelak just doesn't work, and exhausts our defense.
  22. Really want Allen to make the changes necessary to be successful, but if a change is made, I hope for an offensive coach that will bring some excitement. O'Brien would be an absolute homerun. He was really building PSU up when he left for the Texans.
  23. You're correct, my bad. Just very frustrated.
  24. Then they haven't watched us play or looked at his stats. We HAVE to give another qb a look.
