  1. Spot on. We're not as far away as people think, and the transfer portal will cause big swings in roster makeup. Blindly sticking with CB and the hurry up offense for so long exhausted our defense, and probably cost us a bowl. Whoever made those calls needs to be held accountable. It will be telling who we add through the portal at qb.
  2. Strong hire. They're ready to spend a bundle to win.
  3. Unless we're going to run an Air Raid type of offense, we need mobile quarterbacks. Whoever chose CB for this offense, and stuck with him without challenge all season, needs to answer for it. Cost the team a bowl game. Go get Western Kentucky's qb and OC. Unfortunately our QB1 spot is wide open next year with Dexter's injury.
  4. No, but when he struggled massively against decent teams, give someone else a couple series.
  5. He never has. Cost us a bowl sticking with him all year long.
  6. Don't we have mobile true freshman qb we could try?
  7. Looked like acl. Went to stop and knee kept going.
  8. Imagine that offense at full strength with a healthy Henderson and Smith-Njigba. No defense in the country could slow them down.
  9. Good find. I wondered how it would work. Hope they consider how many conference games each team plays. (I'm sure money and fan support plays the biggest factor). That additional gimme game other conferences, that only play 8 conference games, gets is huge. If we miraculously got to a bowl game at 5-7, no one would care whether we won 5 or 6 games, just that we were a bowl team.
  10. His arm looks decent. There were a few drops, and the game should slow down for him in his third game. His legs, with increased usage of Jaylin Lucas, is cause for excitement. Now if we can just get some pressure on the qb. Can't let him sit back there all day, or he'll pick us apart. With moderate pressure, our db's can more than hold their own.
  11. I will be very surprised if he doesn't. Auburn is ready to spend crazy money to get him. Then again, nothing should surprise a college sports fan anymore.
  12. I see your point, but the practice time and momentum that would create would be invaluable to this team.
  13. Good find. I didn't even realize that was a remote possibility. Not likely, but adds some excitement to the Bucket game. Let the guys play wide open in a home game, play spoiler to little brother, and possibly create an opportunity. Zero pressure on us. Go get some guys!
  14. Agree. If the team would've completely quit and gotten destroyed by MSU and Purdue, I would feel different. If we can win the Bucket game, we might create some momentum for next season. We'll need to make some significant personnel upgrades, but there are some pieces in place that give me hope.
  15. Yeah, I'm not pleased with the results of this season and last year, but coach Allen was a hot name after our 2020 season. I mean, we should've played in the B1G title game. At Indiana. We were honestly lucky to keep him. Wish the buyout wasn't so high, but coach Allen and his agent held the cards in that negotiation.
  16. The o line is looking better, and Dexter adds another dimension to the offense. Bell seems to have slowed the pace of the offense, and that takes some pressure off the defense. Win the bucket, then go make some upgrades. Maybe some season ending momentum convinces certain guys not to transfer if they were thinking about it.
  17. I'd love to see him in the slot so we can get him in space. He's electric with the ball in his hands. Not sure running him between the tackles maximizes his skills.
  18. Great win! Win the bucket and make some upgrades in the offseason.
  19. That was poor play calling. Gotta be aggressive. Nothing to lose.
  20. The optimist in me would love to see Dexter, and some changes on the offensive line, put up points and win the last two games. If we can create some momentum by winning, think Allen would get a other year to hit the transfer portal hard and try to make major improvement. If we lose out against two mediocre teams, the team has obviously quit and changes need to be made.
  21. True, but they're as close to 4 losses as they are to being undefeated. Guess that puts them about where they should be at 2 losses. Still the most undisciplined team Saban has had at Bama.
  22. No arguing SOS. Think TCU slips up and two 1 loss teams get in anyway. Guess we'll see. On a side note, Bama is a Quinn Ewers injury away from 3 losses. The natives are restless, and I'm loving it. Cheered hard for your Volunteers in that one!
  23. That game wasn't that close, and Georgia completely controlled the game. Hooker was neutralized. And the LSU win looks better today than the team Tennessee beat at the time. PSU is a solid win; ask Auburn.
  24. True on wins, but if it's a close game between OSU/Mich, I'd take that team. Tennessee got absolutely destroyed. Sorry brother.
