Good point. A former Alabama player told me Ya couldn't close at Bama. Told him that wasn't his job. Ya seems to have some solid connections, but we'll be good either way.

Love this. Hometown boy. Leal has shown he can play solid defense and is pretty athletic and strong. If he gets more comfortable with CW's system and gains confidence, he can be a solid contributor as an upperclassmen. That's about what I would have expected for him. No one thought he would start and star for us day 1. He just needs to be triple threat ready, instead of looking to pass as soon as the ball is coming his way. Let it fly with some confidence son!

For those that have seen him play, how does CJ Gunn compare to Blake Wesley at ND? Love to have that kind of athleticism and ability to drive on the wing.

Hate to call Northwestern a gimme without the suspensions, but probably true. Add the UNCA game, and we have 20 wins. That would have us in. No what ifs needed. The frustrating part is we were up in the second half in so many games that we just couldn't close. We could easily have 24-25 wins and be talking about making some noise in the tournament. Injuries definitely played a large role as well. Hopefully the coaching staff and systems are solid and just need the right players. Our defense is top 20. That travels anywhere. Just need players that can make open shots.

They say, "take out the cupcakes". If everyone had to do that, mid majors would have few if any wins. The sad truth is if our UNCA game had been played or rescheduled, we would have 20 wins with a win against Michigan. That puts us in without question. Not sure how we get penalized for losing a guaranteed victory.

This is a great point. The current review system can easily be manipulated to gain an advantage. I'd be interested in a football type review system where a player or coach can call for a review, but if they lose, it costs them a timeout.

I think a win today, or 2 in the B1G tournament gets us in. Win today and 1 win in the tournament might get us to a 10 seed. Win today and get to the championship is probably 8/9 game. Let's hope any of these scenarios comes true!
