I found a stream of this game and it is unwatchable. If RI isn't bricking a shot they're turning it over. Just awful basketball. I won't torture myself watching this.

Louisville loses at home to Wright State on a buzzer beater, 73-72.

Toledo wins the battle of mid major titans vs UAB in the Barstool Invitational in Philadelphia. I know they return 4 starters from a 26 win team and had some success in the portal but I was wondering if anyone from southern Indiana knows if Kooper Jacobi (Silver Creek) is injured or just buried on the bench.

I agree. I wouldn't want to see him take any minutes from any current player.

Hunter was replaced in the starting lineup last year by Nunge.  He did have 11 and 9 against Morgan State but picked up 4 fouls in 17 minutes.  If he's their 1st big off the bench I think that bodes well for IU given the front court depth.

Lander finished with 3 points as WKU won by 6.  Tayshawn Comer, a freshman from Cathederal HS, started for EKU and had 10p 2r 3a.

Lander scoreless in the first half.  Missed both shot attempts and picked up 2 fouls and WKy trails EKy by 5 at half.

Pretty slim pickings for games tonight.  Seton Hall is on FS1, they have Dre and Tae Davis, brothers from Indy. Dre spent two years at Louisville and Tae's recruitment was mentioned here briefly I think.  Louisville is on the ACC network at 9 against Bellarmine. Be nice to see UL lose again.

Parker Stewart was ejected from their opening loss at Pitt. He finished with 9 points, 5 to's and 0-3 from 3.   Phinisee had 3 points and 8 assists off the bench in a win over Chaminade.

Jakai Newton planning to sign his NLI in a ceremony at his high school tomorrow at 12:30.

I believe DA was 1-5 early on and at IU that would get him benched.  I think it just shows the Horizon league is probably a more appropriate level for him.

A couple of former Hoosiers in action tonight.  Damezi Anderson had 17 and 9 in Detroit's win and Clifton Moore had 8 pts and 4 blocks as Providence beat Rider 66-65.

Emoni Bates didn't play (or dress) for their opener (coaches decision).  He's expected to play Friday against Michigan.

You guys should be posting in the 22-23 season thread instead of this one from last season.

It wasn't actually a serious post. Someone says JHS is the hardest worker and a Purdue poster raises an eyebrow and it's implied perhaps nobody else on the team works hard (an extreme take).  It all seems pretty ridiculous from an innocent original comment.  They really need to start the season.

Kind of surprised the Spurs cut Josh Primo, the 12th pick in 2021 draft. Maybe a little more opportunity for pt for Romeo, although he has yet to enter tonights game. (in 3rd qtr)
