  1. I have decided my line in the sand and my foot is solidly in terra firma and I will never back down. Bring it.
  2. And douchebags want to take the right of self defense away. Not In my house. Never!!
  3. There was a gangbanger released in NY without bail a day or two ago that proceeded to carry out 3 murders in Brooklyn. Letting non violent offenders go Im ok with, but violent offenders just no. I could care less what happens to violent offenders. I guess they have to make room for mask violators and people trying to open their businesses against mandates.
  4. @tdhoosier You make a good point about experiences shaping perception. For me, I know 2 people who have had a mild case of it and dont know anyone who has died from it. Everything seems normal here. So it's hard to imagine what it's like elsewhere. I do not deny that it's real. But for myself I'm not worried about it. I wear the mask where required and keep a wide berth when walking by people. It is pretty easy for me to social distance where I am. I also do the same when I miss a car in my blind spot. It gets exhausting quadruple checking my blind spot all the time though.
  5. High Plains Drifter Pale Rider I am a bigtime Clint Eastwood old western fan. Outlaw of Josey Wales might be the best Eastwood movie ever.
  6. @5fouls I would say they have built up some heard immunity. Sweden is going to be the test case for comparison of responses. Since they did nothing essentially, stayed open, no masks. Since the timeline is similar, if you go to worldometers and compare the graphs of Sweden, New York, and New Jersey they are pretty similar. Especially daily new deaths.
  7. Hard to say for sure if Japan would have surrendered with or without it. I would say Nagasaki wasnt necessary. I think the bigger goal was the US flexing their cajones to show the Russians what was up. I also think Japan deserved a punch in face for what they did to the Chinese. Especially for the Nanjing massacre.
  8. I work with a guy that has a 10 yr old son that had to have his left leg amputated below the knee because they weren't able to see a Dr. Turns out he had a cancerous tumor in his foot that was inoperable. The collateral damage from these lockdowns is very real.
  9. Doing something new tonight. Spatchcock chicken. Before pic. Finished product in about an hour or so. So, forgot to take a picture after but turned out great.
  10. Moratoriums on foreclosures, utility disconnections, etc are about to end. Our economy is about to fall off a cliff.
  11. Well I first need a good looking woman who test positive to make out with for a half hour or so then start my course the next day.😁
  12. Just like with flu season, you have the flu shot, otc drugs, prescriptions, tamaflu that I know of, and I dont know what it was but I went to the ER once with a 107 fever and had an injection that felt like ice water in my veins. So why not? Let's just beat this thing.
  13. Seems to me some people want to wait on a 100% effective cure which simply isn't going to happen. As a guy that does all his own mechanic work I have about 30 different tools I use regularly. So I look at covid like my truck. If it helps even 10% of infections then use it as 1 part of a tool set. I have yet to see a one size fits all approach work anywhere in life.
  14. Another thing about cleaning supplies is on the supply side. There would be a huge surge in demand. Had to go to the Wal Mart the other day. No paper products at all and cleaning supplies section picked clean.
  15. @Leathernecks How do you think some of those small schools up there will do budget wise. Especially if they have to buy more ppe, and cleaning supplies? My wife is from central illinois. She went to Armstrong-Potomac. When she was there they didnt have central air and couldn't even afford window units. I doubt they could handle much of a budget crisis.
  16. I know. I was just being flippant. I just find it very disrespectful they would make a non workplace related demand like, especially one that unrealistic. Not only will the kids suffer but what will the parents who both work jobs to get by do? How many parents are even capable or willing to help their kids learn? And if they would happen to successfully defund the police guess what one of the first things to disappear will be, the school resource officers. Of the few teachers I know, they want to go back to school, and see paid leave offered to older teachers who don't feel safe. Looks like a good idea to me.
  17. Absolutely ridiculous. If they don't want to go to work because of ignorant, non virus related reasons like this, then they can sit at home with no pay and I will demand a property tax refund.
  18. Yeah, cant remember the year but I remember each episode had a music video of a band you never heard of And this
  19. Beavis and Butthead was the 2nd best thing behind music videos.
  20. Lower. Same as USA. Clearly you didnt read the study I posted. All you want to do is be argumentative and think you are right about everything.
  21. I heard General Patton did too. And Johnny Cash. Wild times we are living in. 😳
  22. Looks like blossom end rot which means the plants arent getting enough water. Been a very dry July.
