Saw a report earlier today that here, further to the east the smoke from wildfires out west could make for some interesting sunsets. I'm in southern Indiana and was just outside. The night sky is hazy, moon is in last quarter, cant see it, and I cant see a star in the sky. Even on cloudy nights I can see something. Anyone else think this night sky is different?

I think with mask wearing it will be tough to conclude their effectiveness in the real world because there isn't 100% compliance and people put some pretty dumb stuff on their faces. If they could be 100% effective and everyone wore them and life was normal then maybe my local breakfast joint wouldn't have went out of business. Now I have no place locally to get perfectly cooked hash browns and gravy and ham steak and that makes me mad/sad. You suck virus.

Make a habanero hot sauce every year when the habanero plants start producing. Nothing like fresh from the garden hot sauce.

If I had choose one this is it I will put hot sauce on anything.

Quality optics make a difference. The industry standard for eye relief is 3.5 inches. My minimum is Leopold VX-1 3x9x40 or Nikon Buckmaster 3x9x40. Own both and have better and have owned lesser. Problem with cheap optics is the glass and reticle suck. So if dialing in a 3×9 to the 9 magnification like I did when I got scoped you end up have 2.5 inches or less eye relief and get drilled in the eye socket. Rule of thumb I learned, your optics should equal the price of the rifle, give or take a few dollars.

My favorite time of garden season. Habanero hot sauce. Been hauling in the load pictured below about every 2-3 days for the last month. Favorite pepper is habanero but grew a couple cajun bell pepper plant this year which will been an annual thing now. I recommend giving them a try. Cajun bell's are the 2 smaller reds in the bottom right. Tolerable heat, delicious flavor.

@FKIM01 I can relate to this story. So, I got Savage .308 when I was in 6th grade and got a scope for it. And would shoot at targets 200-300 hundred yards out behind my house. I learned real quick not to get your eye socket to close to the scope. Luckily I didn't need stitches.

I really liked Oktoberfest beers. If you can get it try 3 Floyds Muensterfest, or Hacker-Pchorr if you can get it. Me and alcohol dont agree anymore. Was fun while it lasted. 🤷‍♂️
