Claudell Washington recently passed away.  He was a very serviceable OF.  Washington is also one of three MLB players to hit 3 HR's in a game in both the AL and NL.  Who are the other 2?

    Hank Aaron?

Also, today I installed a retractable garden hose that is 130 feet long, and that is a life saver.  Rolls back up on its own.

I have 50ft of hose and plan to buy another 25ft to add so I can water the flower beds in front of my house.

Tell me where you got 130 ft of retractable hose.  I NEED that.

And we got beat by Purdue in the tourney that year....sigh

Not that it makes a difference but we did beat them to win the NIT the year before when it still kind of mattered.  They just got lucky in 1980.

  4. So decided to remodel the house starting with the living room floor. Tore out the carpet, and installing laminate flooring.

Progress pic, really thought I'd get more done today but didnt anticipate subfloor prep.

The other thing to keep in mind is that the most vulnerable have already been impacted.  In Indiana, more than 50 percent of deaths are people over 80.

We have been dealing with this for months, with some governors putting recovering patients in nursing homes! And now with the "protests", and things opening up, increases in cases and testing but a negative correlation of positive cases and deaths, seems to me things are on the end of the bell curve.

  6. This virus is never going away. It will be like the the Hong Kong flu of 1968-69, eventually be classified as another type influenza.

This virus is contagious but will ultimately end up not very deadly.  Good grief less than 1% of the US population had tested positive for this and we are 6 months in.

I made some copycat Taco Bell this week, does that count? Actually turned out really good!

What did you make?  I've done crunchwraps at home.

Also copy Arbys beef and cheddar but I like mine better because I use better quality meat.

Nearest taco bell and arbys is 20 minutes away. So if I get a craving I improvise.

First saw the picture and thought you were one of those that went about jacking the truck up only to realize you can’t afford the tires and wheels to fit. Nice job of your ingenuity though!

Have to admit, I got the idea from a youtube video. But I did have to think about how to do it to google correctly, so there is that.

I'm in the early stages of looking to buy a smoker myself. When I google it's amazing how quickly the price jumps. I see one at Walmart for $83 and the same size at Home Depot for $329. Trying to figure out what could possibly be the difference for 4x the cost. I grill often but am interested in expanding my game a tad. Similar to a crockpot I love the idea of putting food in and not having to think about for hours.

For charcoal a Weber smokey mountain is about a good as it gets if you dont mind spending the money.  Had a cheapo brinkmann for several years, and modified it and it worked pretty well.
