  1. Have to tell a story. So my physical address is in one small town and my PO Box is in another small town about 3 miles away. I've gotten to know people in both Post Offices, so most times no matter how something ships I still receive it. Amazon is the worst because you order 3 things on an order and they will ship 3 different ways.  Soooo I decided about a year ago as a result of the Grill Season thread Mile has already linked I decided to order a smoker. Since two engineers I used to work with went to work for MasterBuilt in Columbus GA, I decided to order a smoker from them. Unfortunately, that smoker is still stuck in some kind of Fed Ex purgatory!!! To this day I have never smoked anything! Already thinking about trying to order another one. Thanks Jaybob!

  2. First thought. I have a $3.7 million tooling project just getting started. Even with the 25% tariff our proffered vendor out of Colorado which manages tool builds in China is still the lowest price with superior tool builds. They only went back to work a week ago, which is putting us behind schedule. Since our company is Japanese owned and Japan is starting to get slammed with the virus there are serious concerns about the supply chain. It only takes the lack of one part out of hundreds to shut an assembly line down!

Second my best friend in Russia has a friend in Milan Italy that has several cases of the virus. She sent a picture of the grocery store shelves as everyone is holing up for the long haul.

  3. Can't say that any of these really represent the state, other than mini hot browns in Kentucky and chicken and wild rice bake in Minnesota. Still some of these recipes look pretty good if not at least interesting. They don't even tell you their selection criteria like most searched or highest voted?

Recipes to warm you up from each state.

And he has every right to hate it there.  We are not allowed to talk about politics on Hoosier Sports Nation ( my rule, in fact). However if we were.... I could go on for pages.   It's a shame, what California has turned into. I have traveled the length and breath of California. Had friends who moved there, because of it's once majesty.  Was majestic.  Sorry to say. No longer so.

I hear you, just praying my grandsons are either part of making a change or they escape before it's too late!

You know at one time, that was probably true.  Now it's the Californication of Colorado.  Horrible drivers from both states. Especially when it is snowing.

Just remember my one skiing trip to the Rockies, we arrived at Aspen on April 1st and the radio DJ's were saying some Texans had bought the mountain across the valley so they could blow it up in order to be able to see Texas while they were skiing!

I do hear you about Californication, my son in-law born and raised in California hates it there!

I have to credit the old man next to me at the urinal for this one.

"You officially know you are old when you piss in Morse code and it takes 10 minutes to send the message"

Love that one! I'm going to use it!

I've been telling my kids and Pharmacists for awhile, "You know you're old when it takes  you longer to pack your meds than your clothes"

  7. My co-worker this morning was complaining about some of our Directors ridiculous demands about wanting a solution that works for all of the several generations of controls dating back over decades.

Me " kind of like wanting a Corvette you can take off-roading"

Hell, that happens in Warsaw, Indiana!

Can only imagine how bad the driving in northern Atlanta is right now, with a mix of snow and sleet! Most of the people down here are clueless about how to drive in the stuff! At least in Warsaw you have a chance.

Been to the Pepper Tree in Colorado Springs.  On top of a bluff. Overlooking the city. A winding road to get there.

Before Valentine's Day there is this :

National Pizza Day 2020: Full list of freebies and deals on Feb. 9

Mile, opened your link and first thing I see is lakeshore flood alerts for St Clair and Sanilac counties! My daughter was born in Sanilac county MI! Instead of enjoying a food link, I now find myself praying for those people!

Southern states/cities just aren't equipped with snow/ice removal equipment.  Went to Arkansas quite a few years back where a "blizzard" crippled the state.  They got 4" of snow dumped on them.

It's more than just the ability of DOT to deal with the snow, it's also the inability of drivers to deal with it. Just this week it was raining and the road was just wet, got stuck behind a driver going 40 and every time they encountered oncoming traffic they slowed to 20?
