  1. Quick highlight film so it isn't everything, but Gordon was really good. I think JHS is one of those guys we might be thinking, "What if we got another year or two of that guy...?" EG is definitely in that category.
  2. EG for me in the modern era. Not a knock on JHS, but Gordon was a monster and he played most of the year with a messed up wrist.
  3. Unfinished business next year for the ones that do come back.
  4. If everything went well, that team would have potential on paper to do some things.
  5. I was in the pass on Love team. It is high risk/high reward. He would worry me from a team chemistry standpoint, but if we got an under control XJ and Love in the backcourt, an athletic wing, a shooting 4 (like the Ledlum kid) and then Malik or Sparks at the 5 that is a pretty good starting 5. Then you have Trey, Malik/Sparks, Cupp, Newton, Gunn, and Banks coming off the bench with another potential rim protector and Leal....not a bad team. But again, Love is high risk and high reward to me.
  6. Expected. Hopefully he gets closer to home and being around family helps him find his game.
  7. The game is better today than it was in 1985. (That should do it.) :😜
  8. Yeah, I think that is kind of the spot that seems to have quieted down.
  9. Dakich knows more than whoever this Zach dude is. Gotcha. 😉
  10. I think it is good to have the ability to do it though. It doesn't have to be your bread and butter, but I think the best teams are generally going to have the ability to score in different ways. Having TJD be a post player and getting him the ball didn't hurt us so much last year as the fact that we really lacked offensive punch from the 2 through 4 spots. We did not have any dynamism to our offense. It was pick and roll or dump down to Trayce. If you took the 2, 3, and 4 from Miami or some of these other teams with the pressure they bring from hitting 3's (we hit them but did not take enough) and driving to the basket, that would have made us a really difficult team to deal with. We were just too easy to guard because we didn't pressure teams with drives to the basket very often.
  11. Sparks as well if he have landed him. They can both play back to the basket but they don't need the ball to flow through them. You still need size on the team and you can still run the modern offenses with a traditional center. You just don't have your offense initiated through that player.
  12. He would be nice but there will be plenty of wings out there.
  13. He maybe could but I think that kid already helped sink one team's year, I am not interested in playing Russian Roulette with him on our team next year. Pass.
  14. Did I miss news or you just hearing something?
  15. He was a 40% 3 point shooter too.....now he only took 5 and hit 2 but ya gotta start somewhere. 😉
  16. And how many of those TO's were a result of the double teams? If he is guarded straight up, that may reduce that number as well.
  17. I withhold judgment like that until the guys are actually on the court.
  18. Right, with hopefully us in position to take advantage of the '24 and '25 classes. To me we are building towards 25 and 26 as the Championship type of years (fingers crossed). Next year we want to make sure we still make the tournament and in '24 maybe a Sweet 16 type of team.
  19. Then you still have Malik, Galloway, Gunn, Banks, and Leal with either two openings or Bates and Geronimo. I am not expecting a title contender next year but that doesn't sound like a bad bridge team.
  20. This is a very serviceable player. Plays through contact, good on the boards, had a nice interior game. We definitely want to get athletes and shooters on our team but I like having some guys like this that can get in there and mix it up too.
