But without names and specifics I ingest the info with a healthy dose of salt.

I don't even care about the NCAA "rulebook" on recruiting anymore. They have show themselves to be a toothless organization that won't lift a finger to do anything to the big institutions. All the players can and are getting money and it can come from just about anywhere. I want a title and everything feels legal at the moment. Go play the game.

Couple things based on that video alone...it was cut so I am hoping the defense wasn't that terrible the whole game...but Cupps looks like he is able to create his own shot from deep (and hit it). That is something we haven't had much of in about 7 years.

Because the truly elite bigs never stay more than 1 year. TJD would not have probably been here this year if not for a timely COVID diagnosis. And the only reason he was here is because he was a second tier big who had holes in his game. Guards are more plentiful, the 3 ball can be an equalizer, and good guards are likely to be in school longer. Also, outside of elite bigs, they are usually ready to go more quickly when they hit campus.

Great, another school to have to worry about recruiting against in this state. Although I am going to commit a heresy and say that I have been completely underwhelmed by the vast majority of kids we have gotten out of Indiana for the past decade. There are notable exceptions but man so many failures. You can start with "The Movement" and we have had a parade of State of Indiana washouts.

This March has been really disappointing. Both teams had pretty good to awesome seasons and then one game can leave a bad taste in your mouth for months. It doesn't erase everything in reality, but short term perception it sure does. And I hope global warming swallows up Miami.

Leal, Gunn, and Banks shouldn't be going anywhere. The guys you have to question are Geronimo, Duncomb, and Bates. Duncomb has been here two years and it isn't clear if he is even getting much practice time with his health issues. Normally I would look as a guy like him as a potential positive in having two years in the program and practicing against Race and Trayce for much of that time. It isn't clear how much of that he really got. He is a known commodity and has size though so unless we got something great in the portal you maybe keep him too. To me we are losing 4 to 6 players most likely. We have the two freshman coming in. So anywhere from 2 to 4 portal guys...it just feels like we have so many needs though unless some of the people who couldn't get in the games this year suddenly have the lights go on.

When does Kopp hit 3's that look like the one he took? What he threw up there isn't his shot. He could have his back turned to the rim and throw it over his head from the 3 point line and that is technically a 3 pointer from a wide open 45% shooter too. What he threw up there was an ugly shot and it wasn't his typical game. He probably wishes he could have that one back.

The fans who watched that abortion of a game down to the embarrassing last dunk in Tamar Bates's face. They are the MVPs.

Based on what we have seen, no.

We have (had) 2 likely NBA players on the team. Losing X hurt but we had nobody step up. I am disappointed in how things went. I would feel better if I felt we had built anything to lean on next year but if we are being honest our best hope is to blow up uite a bit of this team.

The season was meh. It is made worse by the idea that this team was built up to make a run. You can't feel comfortable at all about next year's roster. I don't even know what we attempt to run next year. Can't do what we have been doing and we don't have a shooting team or a driving team. Unless we score a bunch of hits in the portal....ugh.
