I completely agree. Hypothetically I could see getting a guy like Mangas who is for sure only playing one season. Then developing Leal to fill that role moving forward if the staff isn't sure Leal will be ready for next season to 100% fill that need. I think Leal will be really good in that role at some point I just am not sure how quickly that will be.

Minimum he could be a great shooter off of the bench. That's the one skill he has that will for sure translate.

It sounds like he'll be at IWU, IU, or overseas. So the only way he'll be playing power 6 is if it's at IU from what I've heard.

Supposedly IU has been in contact with some level of interest. As of right now he's still at IWU or playing overseas. That said he doesn't have to do the whole transfer portal thing the same way since he's not at an NCAA school so there probably wouldn't be the same information as when a guy enters the portal.

Basically alluded to roster turnover could still happen.

It would just seem strange. I don't know how transferring from NAIA to a D1 would work since there really aren't any rules on that. Maybe he'd have to reach out to IU himself. I'm not sure on all of that since he wouldn't technically have to enter the portal. That said IU would need to be informed of his interest somehow.

There is zero connection between him and the current staff for starters. There's also been zero talk about him transferring.

No, Thomas was part of the process and helping Dolson. I can't see QB since he was in an official position with the University. Thomas makes the most sense. That said SS may have exaggerated the truth a bit on that one.

Yes, that is the reason IU delayed starting the official paperwork. It's possible that he does but nobody really knows at this point.
