  1. Russ out for the Broncos this week Brett Rypien to start. Plan accordingly
  2. So based on the historical information Scott posted… maybe our expectations are unrealistic. Maybe we’ll always be who we’ve been over the last 50 years.
  3. At least the Smellermakers are getting smoked right now
  4. We are good enough to be in most of these games. We have been close or ahead in the 4th quarter in each of the last 4 games. For whatever reason, we don’t have the ability to close out games. In part, I think we can’t sustain drives. Can’t eat up clock. Don’t know what the answer is. Change of coaches? We’ve been down that road so many times and the results don’t change. Talent influx? Maybe. Can we entice a higher level of talent to Bloomington? Not sure on that. May take huge NIL$$$ to do so, and not sure that we have it for football
  5. I miss him getting his “sheets” ready to chart games. I miss his “Toiletmakers “ and “Smellermakers.” I miss him.
  6. Guess the apathy has set in for another season… no pregame thread.
  7. Just testing for reading comprehension. Clearly, @dgambillfailed😛😛😛
  8. Per CBS Sports, Taylor will plan for the Horseshoes on Sunday
  9. If they expand it, then the conference tournaments could be expendable--although they are cash cows. I have also heard discussions around the idea of not starting the regular season until January, thus pushing the conclusion of the season to late April/early May. This would allow football the limelight, and let hoops have its own season not overshadowed by the bowl/playoff season.
  10. I don't know....you would think they could have given one slot to a FW team, instead of a team from Ohio, or multiple Indy area teams.
  11. Wilson was in my flex position. My other options are AJ Dillon, who has done nothing for me the last 3 weeks, and McLaurin, who has given up targets this season, and who I don't like playing with a backup quarterback. May be time to hit the waiver wire.
  12. Selfishly, it would have been nice had the CMC trade been announced a little earlier in the day. I have Jeff Wilson starting, whom I would have benched and played Benjamin last night.
  13. Guess no team from the 2nd largest city in the state merits consideration 😡
  14. In my league I have 1 player from each of your position lists. I also have Jacobs, Zeke and Wilson who have all had their days. On the other hand, I own AJ Dillon. Michael Thomas and Terry McLaurin....all have been major non-factors, other than Thomas in the first week.
  15. I see that the pitchfork mob is at it again
  16. Is the stadium as nice as what Carroll just built?
  17. I agree with most of what you are saying here, with the following exceptions-- -I'd rather go to a "crappy bowl" than no bowl game at all -What we really need in a quarterback is a dual threat. I can't foresee a situation where the O-line play is going to be elevated in a quick turnaround. We need a quarterback that can not only "sling it", but who can also use his legs to buy time and make up for some of the pass pro deficiencies.
  18. As Bugs Bunny so famously put it, “what a bunch of maroons.”
  19. On Wednesday 19 October 1949, the Chicago White Sox traded for Nellie Fox. The White Sox finished at least eight games above .500 for twelve seasons from 1951 to 1963. Chicago captured the American League pennant with Nellie Fox earning the Most Valuable Player award in 1959.
  20. Nope....they're a women's fencing school.
  21. This was the view from the deck of the house we stayed at last weekend for our granddaughter's wedding. Main house slept 75 and our condo another 12 or so. In the background is Bear Lake that straddles the border of Idaho and Utah. We were in Fish Haven, Idaho, population 222 per Wikipedia. The drive from Salt Lake City was gorgeous once we got off the interstate. Hwy 89 went right through the mountains and the Fall colors were at their peak. Utah State is in Logan, right on the highway. I would have had a difficult time studying there, given the surroundings. A river ran right along the highway, and we saw several fly fishermen. Also saw some deer. Went on an ATV excursion, which was a blast. I won't be needing a chiropractor any time soon!
  22. In my league, I played Wilson, Dillon and Benjamin who was supposed to be the big replacement for Conner in Arizona. Combined, they scored me 12.2 points. Fortunately, still won as Burrow had a huge day and my opponent also had his share of underperformers.
