  1. Clearly the Colts have to play better. Cannot win many more games without improving offensive output. O-line has to block better, but I take into consideration that they started a rookie at tackle, moved Smith into guard, lost Kelly and Hines early in the game. O-line play, more than any other unit on a team, has to be in cohesion. With a new center calling protections, a rookie from Germany with limited experience at tackle, running backs farther down the depth chart who probably weren't fully up to speed on their blocking responsibilities, and a quarterback still learning a new system, it doesn't surprise me how bad they looked last night. OTOH, they did run for over 100 yards, with that same patchwork line. Ryan has to play better. No doubt about it. Putting in comparison: Peyton was 2-3 his first 5 games with Denver Brady was 3-2 his first 5 games with Tampa Favre was 2-3 his first 5 games with Jets Quarterbacks take time to adjust to new systems. New terminology, new teammates, new everything. I was listening to Pat Kirwin yesterday on NFL Radio, and he referred back to Manning's first year with Denver. He interviewed their head coach at the time, John Fox. Fox said that their training camp was spent "learning Peyton's offense". Meaning they didn't expect him to come in and learn their new systems. The team learned what Peyton had done all the years with the Colts. Makes sense, and maybe more teams need to go that route. Not worried at all over the media backlash. They're paid to shill what sells. Bad news sells news.
  2. Scott, have you played football? Coached it? Yep didn’t think so.
  3. Because there is no balance. Just constant negativity
  4. Guess I missed that. Kinda like I missed any positive posts about how well the defense is playing tonight
  5. So , you are better than the dregs of the fan base. Hurray for you!
  6. Yes they is.🙄 They also recruit free agents. You conveniently ignored the IU football part of my comment. You bitch about them as much as the Colts
  7. Market pays what it pays. I don’t begrudge him at all for getting paid. If your job offered you a salary that some might think was exorbitant, you’d turn it down, right?
  8. Sure Scott. Just don’t start spewing your bullshit during basketball season about how recruits and their families read these boards and that negative posters influence them. Who would ever come play for the Colts or IU football when the fans post like you do?
  9. It’s just that you guys are incessant. Beating a dead horse. Glad you both feel better by being inordinately negative. Glad you’ve found a place to criticize without any pushback. Enjoy the game, if that’s possible
  10. You claim to be a fan. All you do is complain. As it stands, the defense has played really well. Colts are one touchdown from taking the lead. If you are that disgusted with Reich and Ballard, why watch?
  11. I swear, you just come on the game threads so you can bitch.
  12. We hit the wineries on the Leelanau Peninsula. Lots to choose from!
  13. Here’s my dilemma… Olave, McLaurin or Godwin?
  14. Hunt is playing against the worst defense of the three, but will he get as many opportunities with Chubb playing so well recently. Tampa's defense is damn good, and I think they are gonna play with a chip on their shoulder after the fiasco v Kansas City. I would stay away from Allgeier. Does the Colts' O-line step up? I let Hines go as he hasn't done much this year, even in the passing game. I think that tomorrow night's game is going to be low scoring, not favorable to Hines. Cleveland-Chargers has the possibility of being a shootout. I would play Hunt and hope it is.
  15. JT officially ruled out for Colts' game Thursday night.
  16. Maybe he wants to be a hand model once his playing days are done
  17. Didn’t Russell Crowe portray you in some movie?
  18. You’ve never managed people before, have you? I knew you were going to make a “back in the day “ reference regarding this topic. Players today are exerting tremendous energy, effort, and stress on their bodies. Among other things, the shot clock has sped up the game. As such, there is the need for periodic breaks to recoup. Lots of other variables play into this as well. Travel time to meet crazy television schedules don’t help. Playing year round takes a toll as well.
  19. So you resemble the comment “very suspicious?”
  20. So, you’re admitting that you are old?😂😂😂
  21. Shortening the rotation will: - open the door to dissension, inner turmoil in the team, and push players that the staff worked hard to recruit towards the portal - not keep players ready to step up when the inevitable injuries happen - wear down the 7-8 who are playing the minutes. I’m with @btownqb. Shortening should be situational. Gotta keep this talent we’ve accumulated.
  22. The new AD clearly wants to make his own mark on the program
