Gonna respond to this and then I will let it go. okay dad. Thanks for putting me in my place. Welcoming Purdue boy is exactly what’s wrong here. Not picking on this guy, but why should anyone from our most bitter rival be welcome here? Why does anyone here want to hear about anything pertaining to that program? When I was in school, a popular tee shirt of the day said, in all caps, PUCK FURDUE! Shouldn’t that be the mindset of this board? Or, are we gonna be politically correct and accept everyone? Last I looked, this board is titled HOOSIER Sports Nation. Won’t ever back anyone here who feels that the Smellermakers deserve to be treated with respect. School, programs or fans.

John Calipari is the epitome of everything that is wrong with college athletics. He has no concern if his players get an education. He really doesn’t even care about UK. He cares about himself, his image and his wallet. John Calipari holds too much power in the world of college basketball. When ESPN fawns over him and CBS devotes headlines on him, it’s just disgusting. I would rather no high level program agree to play against his team. Obviously the conference schedule is what it is. The best way to bring down ol’ Teflon John is to make him a pariah. Don’t cave. Other, more worthy opponents out there.

So sad that others tolerate you. My goal is to make you unwelcome here. No Purdue fan should be welcome here. Speaks to the weakness of the board. I will find those comments once I find my hazmat suit so I feel comfortable going back to G&B.

Laugh all you want there PUke boy. Your school is the 4th best in the state behind ND, IU and Rose Hulman. Hell, Wabash may even be more prestigious. For the life of me I don’t know why you are here. Why would you think that anyone here would care about your school or your perspective on any topic pertaining to anything discussed here? Your true colors show in your comments on G&B. Amazing, how many continue to engage PUke boy. Why would anyone carry on with anyone who is PUke first and foremost? I say it tongue in cheek but, who cares? Who cares on here? What Hoosier fan cares anything about what goes on in W Lafayette? it’s like some have forgotten that PUke boy has buried IU on G&B. So tired of the “ but he’s been respectful and is comparatively a good guy “ rhetoric.

The minute we start fearing PUKe, is the minute we should just shut the program down.

Latest retail rant.... Had to pick up a prescription today. There's a Kroger not far from my office in FW. Not in FW every day, as I work from home quite a bit. The particular med is much cheaper at Kroger than at my local CVS, hence got it filled there. This is not a small store. I counted 2 pharmacists and 4 pharmacy techs. Why do they shut down the pharmacy and let them all go to lunch at the same time? I arrived at 1:09 for the sole purpose of picking up the script, and had to stand and wait until they opened back up at 1:30. I could see if this was a smaller department with only 1 pharmacist, like the CVS, but with that many employees, they certainly could alternate lunch times. Very inconvenient and not customer friendly. Rant over. I feel much better.....

Article in this morning's FW Journal Gazette quoting CTA that this year's class would be small--between 12-15 as a result of players getting an extra year due to the pandemic.

I know that I have complained about grocery store issues in previous posts but… those damn drivable grocery carts. I get the need and understand how much they help people with mobility issues. Hell, I used one for a minute after my knee replacement. But that person who puts it in reverse and let’s it beep incessantly… worse than fingernails on a blackboard. And they don’t seem to notice how obnoxious they are being. If I had a sledgehammer to take out those beepers, I’d be much happier and much less stressed at the local Meijers 😁

The thing is, the NFLPA negotiated with the league to include code of conduct language. They can't very well go back and complain about misconduct when they agreed to allow language in the CBA that addresses the issues. As far as comparing to other penalties handed down....Ridley as example was addressed by a different part of the CBA than was Watson's issue. As was Brady's deflategate suspension. Per Rich Eisen on his show this morning, there were actually 66 separate masseurs who were involved. Eisen works for the NFL and wouldn't come out saying anything untrue about his employer. The arbitrator used the word "egregious" in describing Watson's behavior. I would use the same term in describing the lack of teeth put into this decision.

Probably right....don't need to beat around the bush about it. IMO, don't need to beat it to death either. Look forward to the positives that CMW has brought to the program and don't dwell on the negatives of the past.

My post wasn't an attempt to defend Archie. My post was meant to point out that there are players on our roster now that he recruited, and from the tone of some posters, are being lumped in categorically with the "Archie was a recruiting failure" thought. Same players, and their families have been known to read these boards. IMO, sure doesn't give them the warm and fuzzies given that they recommitted to the program and to new coaches they knew little about. But for the record....yeah, the CAM criticism has been beaten like a dead horse. How many more times does his ineptitude need to be raked over the coals here? Stand by my comment....time to move on.

Not calling anyone out, but… TJD is a Hoosier because of CAM. Other current players as well. All this talk about how bad he recruited. All the past conversations about how players and their families read this board… And yet, the bashing, of the coach, and his recruits, continues. I get it. CAM flamed out. Terribly. But there are guys wearing the Candy Stripes, giving their all, for the glory of old IU, because of their connection to him. In other words, time to put it to rest

Somewhere, in some thread, or some article, it was mentioned that it takes a certain kind of personality to play at a place like Indiana. Maybe Booker knew he couldn’t handle the fishbowl that is part of playing in Bloomington. Let him go play where the spotlight isn’t quite so intense. And, leave the door open if, in a year or two, he realizes that he made a mistake and needs to come home

Just telling what I heard on Sirius ESPNU

I am anti-ND as well. I did hear something last week on one of the national shows that for NBC to up the ante to ND, they want a tie-in with one of the other major networks. That is, they want a Fox/CBS or ESPN to show a major conference game as a lead-in to their ND broadcasts. to me that just is another aspect of the arrogance surrounding that program.

I hear John’s Hopkins is hot on his trail.
