I coached middle school football in the early 80's in Columbus, IN. I can tell you that my black players were terrified when we played in Martinsville, and I had to make sure that they always were with a group when going to the bathroom or whatever. At that level, there was no monitoring what the teams did. At the high school level, with state rankings and media coverage, this wasn't a problem. Glad to hear that things have changed there. Sorry it took so long though.

I was at the game when AT ran for over 340 yards v the Badgers. Camp Randall was more empty than Memorial Stadium. I was at the old field house in the early 90’s when Calbert, et al ran roughshod over them. UW had a great AD and alum in Pat Richter. He made a fortuitous hire in Barry Alvarez. I know enough about BA that I don’t respect him, but he was the right guy for the job, and he has built a tree of coaches who will keep UW successful. IU needs to find their Barry Alvarez. It can be done

We sacked Tannehill 3 times today and he was mediocre for much of the game. Agree on the turnovers but not having Leonard— he was a turnover machine last year. The lack of good starts is puzzling though
