HSN needs some NIL$$$. That would solve everything

Indiana HS football 2022

Can't help but notice, and seems to be how this thread is leaning, but the top third of the state is cut off from your map. Even though it's a toll road, 80-90 should be depicted as well. -
Like a few others, I am an old timer. Got sucked in to being a Hoosier fan watching us get screwed when Downing was called for some bogus fouls v UCLA. Fan ever since. Different than others, my favorite memories are from Crean’s first team. To watch a group of guys who had no business wearing the candy stripes play their hearts out. To see them win a few games, even a conference game… confirmed for me that wearing a Hoosier uniform was a privilege. I know that the results were horrible, but those guys are my all time favorite team

I don't keep up with high school football as much as you guys do, and certainly not in the Southern part of the state. Just wondering, why do the games have to be played at one of the school's home field? Play it at a neutral site, halfway between. They do this for the basketball tournament. Why not football? -
Go Twins!

Bumping, as the quest has begun again -
This guy is Ross Barnes. Never heard of him. He hit the first home run ever in the National League, May 2nd, 1876.

agree, but a big part of the problem with pro athletes is when they are hit up to support their group of people who supposedly provided advice, friendship or whatever. Not going to see that happening imo, when a college student gets an NIL deal.
-
Yes, but there's a difference between getting a few hundred thousand, even a million, and signing multi-million dollar contracts.

https://www.ncaa.org/news/2021/12/2/general-college-athletes-continue-to-graduate-at-record-highs.aspx The graduation rates are at all-time highs. If NIL money keeps athletes in school longer, I can't see these numbers dropping much.

Don’t look now, but my Twins Are in first place. Swept both the Pale Hose and the Tigers and I thought, okay let’s see how they do outside of their division. Took 2 of 3 on the road v the Rays this weekend. Aiight

I see a second guy from Montana State just got picked. How does that happen and IU can only put one player in the draft?
-
Love football, specifically NFL football. Watch zero minutes of the draft. Much better things to do with 15 hours of my life than listen to a bunch of talking heads go on about a lot of players I have never heard of. About once an hour or two I'll check my phone to see who the Colts and Vikings drafted, and if any IU guys went. As I said, love football. Do not care for the hold the NFL has on the sporting scene.
-
Not saying it means anything but CBS analysts gave a C+ grade for the pick
