  1. Lou Gehrig played in his 2,000th consecutive game on May 31st, 1938.
  2. I did the pork butt mopped with a bourbon based glaze on Saturday. Turned out awesome, but having problems with my rotisserie. It is made by Weber, and supposed to be designed to fit all Weber grills, but I am finding that it doesn't seem strong enough to hold a 5-6 lb. piece of meat. The end of the spit keeps coming out of the bracket. Gonna have to do some engineering, or look into a better set up
  3. Don’t think so. I may resurrect my career though 😁
  4. The only home run Joe Niekro hit in his 22 year career was on a pitch from his brother Phil, 46 years ago today, May 29, 1976. Given the chance, I would have served one up for my brother
  5. If CMW wants the game, so be it. Personally, I don’t think we owe PUKe anything and should make no concessions to Calipari and his program. I am completely satisfied with the upcoming schedule and how we’ve strengthened it. We don’t need them on our schedule and I would rather not play them than to give in to old Teflon John.
  6. I agree with your sentiment, but let me play devil's advocate for a minute. First, these would not be relatively cheap solutions. Multiply the number of classrooms and hallways in a typical school building, then times the number of schools in a school district. The number becomes very big, very fast. I did a brief search for the cost of a surveillance camera, and even at $180 a pop, that's a lot of money. Until this becomes a federal government issue, and some of the billions that are sent overseas get redirected to take care of homeland security, this is going to be too expensive for many/most school districts. Secondly, even though student safety is paramount, I think there would be some pushback from local teacher unions on having cameras in the classroom. I mean, would you want your entire workday on film? Imagine if your employer could go back and review and see how often you were on HSN instead of working? 😜 This issue is at the forefront now, due to the shootings in Buffalo and Uvalde, but it's gonna take time and negotiations to implement what you are proposing in union employee, government funded institutions. Way different than private employers as far making quick change.
  7. Yeah, and maybe a bunch of other games around the state
  8. Unfortunately, the laws surrounding this need to label the crimes. Is it a Hate Crime? An act of terrorism? Domestic or not? Different treatment based on how it’s labeled. Always will be in the media to ensure that the perpetrators are treated accordingly
  9. Ghost guns, 3-D printers. Guns manufactured by people buying individual parts and assembling them. If someone wants a weapon that isn't registered and can't be traced, they are gonna find a way to get it. Single point of entry should be mandated at every school in the country. Either an armed, trained security guard, or extra layers of identification should be required before that door is ever opened. I like the idea of hiring veterans or retired police as a work force to handle security. The mental health aspect is difficult. Until it becomes destigmatized, people are going to shy from seeking help. Unfortunately, labels stick with people causing difficulties obtaining employment, among other things. There should be multiple times the amount of money devoted to mental health treatment as is being spent on gun control. Most importantly, a small community has been devastated. Outreach to the families, friends, and co-workers, and classmates of the victims should be paramount. The young people who saw their school mates die are going to require an immense amount of help to heal. May God be with them all.
  10. Of course, if we all just ignored these cryptic tweets, then there would be no issues, because the people sending the messages would have lost their platform. But, I get it. What else would we have to talk about all summer?
  11. Yeah, I got that. the way this is worded, it's like he was intoxicated, but it was legal.
  12. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/steelers-dwayne-haskins-was-legally-intoxicated-when-struck-and-killed-toxicology-report-shows/ What , exactly does it mean to be legally intoxicated?
  13. Would I now. You know nothing about me, and I don’t really want to change that. Yes you did. Scott, go live in your little world where you can say whatever and have no repercussions. Next time you call someone out for being negative or not shining a positive light on the program, I will make sure to remind you. I don’t have a problem, except for you and your holier than thou attitude
  14. You’re down there in Southern Indiana so why don’t you give him a kiss for me ?😛😛
  15. As usual, you have completely missed the original point. You feel like you can call out other people for saying negative things about players or recruits. You claim that part of the program’s recent problems are the fan base’s fault. Yet you do the same thing and you come up with excuses why it’s okay. Doesn’t surprise me one bit that this has gone over your head. SMH
  16. Whatever, Scott. You are always right. Always the right take. Never the problem. Take ownership of what you say… that players aren’t good enough to start for a championship type team. Rationalizing by saying you’re better than what others post is…soft Frankly, you sit on your perch and take lots of pot shots. Probably worse than what others post in the heat of the moment
  17. You’re not good enough is disparaging. You talk out of both sides of your mouth so much you don’t even realize when you are. Don’t be such a pompous ass calling me or any member soft.
  18. Already gave my answer, but Anthony Leal is a fast riser in my opinion poll. Loves being a Hoosier. Loved and supports his teammates. I believe he is the epitome of what a home grown Hoosier should be.
  19. So much for the guy who constantly says to be careful about what you say on these forums because the players and their families read them.😡😡😡😡😡
  20. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/colts-signing-nick-foles-former-eagles-bears-qb-agrees-to-new-two-year-deal-per-report/ Looks like Colts have a new back up quarterback
  21. Vasilevsky is amazing. Single handedly kept the Lightning in the game with some unbelievable saves.
