  1. I've been told I'll be working from home well into the 1st quarter of next year... Our work, at least new projects, are piling up... I've been eligible to retire for a while, but I won't leave yet...too many things started that I want to see through... My facility has lost one employee to COVID. Every night 2 or 3 centers go ATC-0 for 4 hours or so for a cleaning. Cleveland and Memphis have been the worst...
  2. Doo, doo, doo, lookin' out my back door...
  3. Was moseying through Costco (of course) today and found this... Ingredients: Salt, Sugar, Cranberries, Exhausted Vanilla Beans, Allspice, Apple, Black Pepper, Garlic, Orange Peel, Rosemary, Thyme, Bay Leaves and Sage I'm big time into brining especially poultry or pork...even have 2 plastic buckets specifically made for brining...they have a slotted lid that keeps the turkey/chicken/pork completely submerged...this is the smaller one... I highly recommend brining. Always get told my smoked turkey is the best people have ever had. Sidenote: you have to find a turkey that isn't already shot full of saline solution.
  4. The GREAT Walter Payton... I've always said Jim Brown was the greatest running back ever, but Sweetness was the greatest football player ever... One year the Bears QBs threw 17 interceptions, and Walter made the tackle on all but one... In college, he was a punter and place kicker... Block, catch passes, and I think he threw 8 touchdowns in his career...
  5. HOFer Herb Adderley passes away at 81 One of the best defensive backs ever... Michigan St alum...
  6. That's hilarious...and for the most part, true...
  7. My wife goes to them but I wont. We do have an agreement in place... Don't BOPJ (Buy other people's junk)
  8. Yeah, I believe he spent some time over a cocaine conviction. Sad...
  9. Yep, Max McGee. Max was a good receiver over his career. Super Bowl I he was a reserve who was allegedly hung over because he didn't expect to play. Carroll Dale got injured early, and Max came in and caught 2 TDs.
  10. Yes! He actually rushed for more yards in that game (205) than he rushed for in the test of his career (190 in 3 years). Amazing...
  11. Warm... @KoB2011 statement about Earl Morrall prompted this question. Sometime the obscure can make a huge impact.
  12. No, Super Bowl I featured the Packers and the Chiefs.
  13. No...Marcus Allen did hold the record with 175 yards, but it was broken by this player.
  14. So a double header... What player scored the first points in Super Bowl history? What player holds the Super Bowl single game rushing record?
  15. Damn, I thought I had that one. I was working near the first one I ever saw (Keystone Ave, near 38th St) about that time... Martinsville didn't have anything fancy like that...
  16. Yeah, my grandson (11) just got quarantined because he was around a kid who tested positive. This is in Southwestern Illinois. His Mom (my oldest daughter) called me last night about it. She has to work from home to look after him and insure he's doing his virtual schooling. Luckily, she can work from home and her employer is very flexible...
  17. Hope you're doing well, my friend...
  18. I think he was the NFL MVP in 1968. But, yeah, a great backup to have. Super Bowl 3 he kinda bungled, and 7 he didn't get a chance when Shula went back to Griese who had been injured early in the season.
  19. Former Baltimore Colts receiver Jimmy Orr passes at 85 passes Probably most famous for the flea-flicker play he was wide open on for a sure touchdown, but Earl Morall ended up throwing an interception. Key play in the Jets Super Bowl 3 win
