  1. Thoughts and prayers to you and your Misses, @milehiiu
  2. A great day in Galveston yesterday...cruised the bay, had a killer fish sandwich, washed down with a couple of cold microbrews courtesy of Galveston Brewery...
  3. I'm borrowing that one for Texans...
  4. Thanks...No Gumball Head but my best girl took me to Galveston today and I had a couple of Galveston Brewery's Tiki Island Wheats...good stuff...
  5. He and I share a birthday...10/17...😉 I am just a tad older, though...
  6. I bet Eason pisses himself every time he sees a Bear logo...that was brutal...
  7. Got them there and got them manhandled by you-know-who...and he was never the same after that... He was 6-4 that year...Grogan was 5-1 and had better numbers.... Still, he was better than Todd Blackledge...
  8. Oh yeah...and the Pats too...BB (before Belichick)...
  9. Yeah, but they picked the wrong QB in the 83 draft...O'Brien over Marino? Course they aren't they only ones that screwed the pooch on that one...
  10. Their luck is so bad, if they go up for sale, James Dolan will buy them... I think Namath made a deal with the devil on Super Bowl III....
  11. They sure were...And Warren Wells before Cliff...and Raymond Chester before Casper...Hewitt Dixon, Pete Banazak, "The Mad Bomber" Daryl Lamonica...love em or hate em, those teams were fun to watch... Speaking of Fred, here's the greatest catch I've ever seen in any football game...it was in the Dolphins/Raiders playoff game (1974) called the "Sea of Hands" game because of the catch Clarence Davis makes at the end of the game...Biletnikoff's catch was awesome though...cherry on the sundae, Tim Foley (#25 for the Dolphins) is a Purdue grad 😁
  12. I'll give you that one...My mom use to say Richard Boone was so ugly he was handsome...
  13. I guess I'm just a sucker for the old stuff... Dish just put up a channel called Heroes and Icons. Been recording and watching "Combat!" and "Have Gun-Will Travel." Also been watching "Wanted-Dead or Alive" (based on a @rico recommendation in another thread) and while it's good, Josh Randle ain't no Paladin 🤠
  14. The early 70s Raiders had... C Jim Otto HOF LG Gene Upshaw HOF LT Art Shell HOF And all 3 on the NFL 100 Anniversary team They ran left a lot...
  15. At one time on MNF, the Raiders had like a 15-1 record or something ungodly like that.
  16. They have the Raider's O line from the early 70s? 😉
  17. There's a few posts in the baseball thread about him. I remember him getting hit. I read his book. Was always a fan... Said this over there too...if he hadn't suffered the eye injury from the beaning, put him in the middle of that 75 Red Sox team that took the Reds to game 7. Rice, Yaz, Lynn, Fisk, Petrocelli...and Tony C. He'd have only been 30 years old then...
  18. Seems like a few people on here like Merle Haggard (as I do)...My favorite Merle tune, and a bonus cover of the same song by Lynyrd Skynyrd...
  19. @mrflynn03 has it right. The wing sauce on the batch in my picture is a cup of Trappey's Red Devil and 4 tbl of unsalted butter...I like em slathered in sauce...
  20. Read his autobiography years ago. Fascinating. Country boy with no college degree becomes the most famous test pilot ever and makes Brigadier General (1 star). Beyond what they showed of his exploits in "The Right Stuff" it needs to be made into a movie...
  21. They moved BACK to LA... And I'm in 100% agreement on the powder blues...
  22. Give me some water 'cause I shot a man on the Mexican border Cool, cool water
