  1. UK giving pay raises enticing "student-athletes" with their facilities and educational prowess is going to happen anyway. If it makes those orange and blue bastards cry a little....well, that makes it at least somewhat enjoyable. Also, with all this conversation about Cockburn.....what ever happened to old Isaac Haas?
  2. DOH! Sometimes it's the simplest solutions. I thought about just lighting the grill and letting them use that. 🤣
  3. Change of gears to the ultra small end of fireworks.....was lighting (or rather, trying to light) some sparklers for the kids and could not believe how hard those little bastards were to light. I think I killed two spark sticks lighting 15-20 of them. Is this the way they are nowadays (some kind of safety coating?) or is it just a bad batch?
  4. Kofi "When I pee, it makes my" Cockburn Also, "Avoid The Clap, Jimmy Dugan".
  5. Especially now that he's not a damn Cub *ducks*
  6. Had that as part of a sampler. Similar to Leinenkugels summer shady, which isn't a bad thing.
  7. Walla Walla, Washington Though I'm not sure what Drew Bledsoe could do for the basketball program.
  8. In response to those perceived weaknesses: Saban invited half the Bama soccer teams as walk ons. Men's and women's. Harbaugh has been seen wearing a Scott Frost mask. Where and how someone obtains a Scott-f***ing-Frost mask, nobody has dared to ask.
  9. Kid has the right outlook. Knows he belongs at this level, but knows he has a ton to learn and is looking to his teammates. And I'm glad he takes after his mom in terms of college choices. 😁
  10. Could be a blending of the two. It's becoming easier to find places that offer pyrotechnics training that count towards licensing. This allows individuals to purchase some of the bigger shells/balls for their own use. I'm considering it for next year. Runs about $50 for the course and $50 for state licensing.
  11. 3 years from now, our backfield is going to be STOUT.
  12. I'll throw the video up in the morning, but there has been at least a dozen really, really good displays visible from my backyard. With a backdrop of some of the big Cincinnati-area shows off in the distance. It's been sounding like an artillery test range for a good 45 minutes.
  13. From the parking lot of Cincinnati's Coney Island last night:
  14. There was no punctuation at the end of the last sentence, so I can only assume that they were going to continue on with: "What a waste of talent....our roster is while it's under the guidance of Scott Frost."
  15. Was hoping the Habs would have had a better showing than this, but on the bright side, Pat Maroon is on the verge of his 3rd straight Cup.
  16. Reminder about two often overlooked items: 1. sunscreen 2. for fireworks, a fire extinguisher Don't burn yourself and don't burn down the neighborhood. 🇺🇸
  17. You're 100% correct, but I think the outrage is more about the punishment not fitting the crime. Getting a ticket for jaywalking shouldn't come with a $100,000 fine.
  18. Robin Williams once said "Marijuana is not a performance enhancing drug. When you're stoned, you're lucky if you can find your own damn feet."
  19. Whenever you nixed the 70s, I did think of a somewhat obscure pair of Reds OF All Stars, just not starters: 1995, Ron Gant and Reggie Sanders.
  20. If you're needing a refill for your holiday parties, give Braxton Brewery's Garage Beer a try. Yes, that's seriously the name. Braxton's is a microbrewery from Covington, KY, and this is their original/flagship. It's a very simple but tasty, easy drinking lager. Think of a typical mainstream lager, but with a very clean taste and just a tiny, tiny bit more of a hop bite. Could easily be swapped in for most typical macros and 80% of people wouldn't complain. Most would say it's an improvement. Not sure on availability, but the Cincinnati area Krogers have been in abundant supply.
  21. Kid has the raw material. Seems like a lifetime ago, but remember the Phini-three against Butler? Just needs someone to shape that raw material.
  22. In some ways, the 4th is better than Christmas. A 4 day stretch where drinking, playing with explosives and the charring of animal flesh over charcoal-or-gas flames is not just encouraged, but celebrated.
  23. You know the apocalypse must be near when you're having to use "urban" dictionary to understand kids from a rural farming community.
  24. Damn you.....I'm sending you the bill for a new keyboard, dry cleaning and a replacement Gatorade. The "help is on the way" got me. 🤣
  25. That's why I avoid that stuff like a COVID sundae with anthrax sauce. I can barely understand my own kids, let alone someone else's.
